Rise of the Vampires

Fear the Vampires, for they are creatures to whom all dark creatures must bow, even demons bend the knee. Their magic is powerful, powerful enough to crush all but the most skilled wizards; Their bodies can rip demons and werewolves limb from limb. In days of old they clashed with servants of the light in great battles, and afters a series of defeats the the creatures of the day thought them extinct, they were wrong. Now in the most remote countries of eastern Europe the vampires are once again gathering all who serve the dark to their banners. They are not all unified with different families, and individuals seeking different things, but  they are none the less powerful; once again it is time to fear the vampire. Also they can shapeshift, telepot, ect

Appearance Reynald's true appearance is twisted, and disfigured from years of blood starvation while in hiding, but he appears a tall, and rather handsome thirty something  with dark hair
Skills: Dark Magic is a particular skill of his, as is trickiness and stealth, politics, skilled fighter
Background Orlock is a fairly old Vampire who remembers the old days of vampiric rule. He's one of the vampires who went underground during the collapse of the old Vampire kingdoms, He is quite adept at magic after studying it for so many years, and wishes to create his own kingdom of darkness, but is not as cruel or ambitious as other Vampires.

Skills: He is a very talented swordsman, but he is actually very handy at a forge too.
Background: Still a fairly young vampire, he is part of a family of vampires living in a nice huge manor somewhere at the outskirts of a small town surrounded by a thick forest. He has trained in handling a sword all these years of his unlife but some of the more senior members still can beat him in a duel.

Background: Sorcery is s far more subtle art than the magic of vampires, and wizards, but it is valuable skill none the less. They are the enchanters, and the potion makers. They can cast spells, but they require enchanted items, or symbols, with incantations; As opposed to vampires, and wizards who can cast with their will alone. Vashad is a very skilled sorcerer who has served Orlock since the last vampire wars.

The Castle was old; a simple somewhat boxy building with towers built into the main fortress on the right and left sides, smaller towers lined the walls totaling six in their number, with the biggest of the minor towers were positioned on each side of the gate in the wall. The design was simple as they came ,yet intimidating, and forged of strong grey stone. A village surrounds the castle, a remote place, out of time inhabited mostly by humans, who were under Orlock's orders, not to be killed without his orders. Orlock needed to ensure   his supply of blood remained constantly available. He was powerful enough to survive without blood through his dark magic, but doing so left his body in... less than peak condition. Orlock was old, and as an older vampire had been able to acquire many followers with ease, but few vampires as of yet, so he had taken it upon himself to find several younger vampires, and invite him to his home in hopes of recruiting them.

Kane was going to this party, he was part of a another vampire family and they had brought 3 young vampires like Kane here in hopes that they could offer their services to this powerful vampire and maybe have some form of alliance. To this family younger vampires were expendable and usually used as servants or as bargaining tools so this was normal to them and the young vampires had been indoctrinated to this sort of thinking too that they were nothing but items until they could prove themselves to be more valuable and maybe secure a high spot in the family. Kane's current master a 3000 year old male vampire was interested in Reynalds favor and alliance.

Orlock mingled at the party flanked by his sorcerer Vashad, who was regarded very well among sorcerers, and even vampires though he was nowhere near their  power, he was an excellent potion maker, and enchanter, and his writings were studied by sorcerers of the light, and the dark, his presence as Orlock's lieutenant spoke volumes. Orlock himself though charming was a bit reserved.

Kane's master Christopher of the Surette family approached Orlock as Kane and 2 others followed him to be presented to Orlock. "Evening Sir Orlock, I have an interesting offer for you today and I hope you find it most pleasing..." He said with a nice tone and a slight smile, getting Orlock's attention for their family should bring good things to his family.

"Oh?" The older vampire turned to face the far younger vampire "What might that offer be young man?" He could tell the vampire was young, though no longer a fledgling, he would speak to him as one would a vampire; as an equal,  although he was clearly not, he was still due the courtesy.

Appearance: She has a very harmless, rather cute appearance, with soft features, a nose that ends in a gentle slope, round warm brown eyes and brown hair that falls in gentle waves.
Skills: Don’t be fooled by her appearance and generous, kindhearted mien: she is ruthless, manipulative, calculating, sly, callous. She can change her appearance at will, and create powerfull illusions.
Background: Her family is ancient, very wealthy and powerful, known throughout Europe for being ruthless. They take in desperate, vulnerable humans under the pretence that they will be looked after, but then kill them all simply for the fun of it.

Christopher continued. "I am the current head of the Surette family, I do not know if you have heard but that is beside the point. I am here to offer you a gift, these 3 young vampires I have with me specifically. Though you can only choose one of them to serve you I am afraid, I hope you understand. Now, let me introduce you to them..." Christopher showed a female vampire named Magda, 210 years old, used to be a thief but now useful as an assassin. A male vampire named Heskel, 350 years old, used to be a writer of books but now a writer of letters. Then lastly Kane, 100 years old, used to be a blacksmith student but now a well trained swordsman always ready for a fight but he is still useful with a forge hammer.

Orlock look the vampires over "That's quite generous, but no one Offers  such a valuable gift without wishing for something in return" The vampire inspected all three of them this was a tough decision.

"Raynald!" A cheerful voice cut through the throng, which could only belong to the glamorous woman making her way smoothly towards the man in question. Her family had been secretly undermining his family for decades, as they were quite a powerful threat. But that hadn't stopped them from allying with him centuries ago, in order to get closer to them.

Christopher spoke more. "Indeed Sir Orlock, but all my family wishes by this gift is that you look on us favorably and perhaps form even an alliance. There is no need to decide on that now, best if you choose one of our gifts and tell me later how you feel. If you are unhappy with your gift after a few weeks you can return them, or even kill them for your amusement..." Christopher waited for Orlock to choose.

Vashad ever the clever one intercepted Nenet before she could interrupt negotiations, he blocked her path smiling as he did, it was an interception, but he did not have to feign a smile when greeting someone whose cunning he respected, as did his master "Nenet, it has been too long, can i offer you a drink, while my master finishes his business?" The sorcerer who appeared young, though Nenet knew he was at  least a few centuries older than her asked. The sorcerer was a servant of vampires, but he was a great,and clever servant, who was well respected even by the oldest vampires as he brought to the table great skill in arts inaccessible to vampires.

"Very well, I shall take him." Orlock said pointing at the  young vampire kane  "I do appreciate the gift, and we shall discuss this alliance on  a more  formal occasion."

Christopher nodded, he then motioned for Kane to go and stay with Orlock as he was now his new master. Kane understood and did so, though he was unsure what kinda person his new master was but he will find out as timr passes. "Very good, very good... I shall wait for a message from you then, now that this business is taken care of I will go enjoy the party like the rest. Have a nice evening and hopefully you will like your gift." Christopher then left to enjoy and socialize with other vampires here leaving Kane with Orlock.
