After a moment of stunned immobile silence, Raina nodded and set to work, faster than before as she knew what would await them if she was too slow, she did not speak; she didn't want to draw attention to them, and had nothing to say; she did not know what words could be invoked to answer such a horrific sigh.

The astropath held the aquila necklace around his neck, and lowered himself to his knees, quietly praying to the emperor as raina did the cutting

Scalan held his rifle firmly and was alert, he looked at the astropath and rolled his eyes again before focusing on listening to the sounds and being reayd to defend them a bit if they do get found out.

Raina had the new doorway into the warehouse done in about forty seconds flat, at which point the picked up her lasrifle and quietly stepped out surveying the warehouse with its maze of shelves and boxes for any enemies she could see from here. After determining there were none she gave the others a thumbs up.

Aldion rose to his feet again tucking the aquila necklace back into his robes. He was calmer than he might have been, as he saw far worse in the warp.

Lucan let out a relieved breath but waited for the others to exit , covering the flank in case the heretics heard them.

Scalan started moving, hopefully they would find safety to make up a new plan. Their priority right now was surviving, he did not plan to die after all and prefers that his companions stayed alive as well. He stayed calm and collected, for now, hopefully he had calming drugs for the whole group.

All seemed to be going well as the group moved through the warehouse, until they were near the middle deep within the maze of boxes and crates, and the lieutenant noticed something wet fall from above and hit the ground next to him. What looked like a copious amount of drool.

Slowly the officer turned his attention upward , hair standing up on end "Get moving now!" He barked and with that turned and began to run.

Scalan moves, to be honest with himself the situation was scaring him a bit but that was just a natural reaction. Welp, time to fix that shit with drugs.

What stood above them was somewhat larger than a man, with a hunched posture; a hideous winged daemonic creature; with a bestial, long-jawed face, and a mouth full of jutting teeth and fangs. A bristly mane of black hair runs from its short horns to the base of the spine, while two broad batwings sprout from its shoulders. Why Lucan thought he could outrun this beast was anyone's guess; perhaps he didn't get a good look at it in the dark warehouse, perhaps he was simply on edge; regardless, the astropath Aldion did not need light to see the beast.

Time seemed to slow down for the psyker as the beast lunged towards Lucan's back with sharp claws ready to tear the officer to bits. Aldion took a deep breath as he stepped between the Daemon and the lieutenant mustering as much of the warp's power as he could manage as he outstretched his hand. Aldion was no battle psyker, the power he called upon was one he had not practiced in some time; for an instant as the Astropath threw out his hand towards the demon he felt as though the pressure of the warp swirling within him might overcome him as he attempted to bend the chaotic energies to his will. Then with a bright flash and a resounding boom biolightning shot from his outstretched hand with force enough to blast apart the fiend, and send it howling back to its masters in the warp, and Aldion felt the pressure within him released; he stood their for a moment leaning on his stave to catch his breath.

"Bloody hell" Raina exclaimed during the brief calm at the display of psychic power, she had never seen anything like that

"Good bloody show chap ! You showed him what's what indeed! Unfortunately It would not take a betting man to suppose that those savages now know our location , if not by the noise then by the energies you harness." He replied ,grin of pure awe still on his face as he looked over the astropath.

"I'll try to save your life more quietly next time." The astropath quipped with a good natured smile as he took a moment to center himself, he didn't have quite the time he would have liked before the group heard a window smash in the direction from which they had come.

"Well show's over exit stage right!" Raina said urgently, as images flashed in her head of their fellow soldiers being ingloriously torn to shreds. They then resumed running through the isles leaping over boxes and weaving around crates

Scalan just watched what happened, that was... Indeed something. But there was time to be amazed later, now they had to leg it up and Scalan would follow his companions quickly.

Lucan was right behind them but kept his eyes to their flank .

It is then that the astropath swears as he senses more presences like the cultists pursuing them "The building's surrounded, they are sweeping through the district like a wave" He informed the others skidding to a halt

"We could attempt to hole up here , and wait them out , but inevitably one of them will find us , and we'll have no real escape then will we?"

"Nice knowing you gents" Raina murmured checking her las riifle

The astropath just shook his head, he didn't see a way out.

And then the sky began to scream and from the clouds fire rained down and crashed down into the crowds of heretics.

"What the hell is that?" asked Raina out loud as she glimpsed the scene through a window, and carefully approached; she had her las rifle at the ready as that sure as hell didn't look like any imperial ship

"Xenos Scum" Aldion would reply sporting a scowl that was very unlike the kind natured astropath. Though he had not attempted and could not read their thoughts exactly. The astropath could sense the strange minds of the eldar on board filled with extreme, yet well concealed emotion, and they could no doubt sense him; a human psyker, a turbulent and violent surge of warp energy, that lacked the discipline of their race to attain full control of itself. "We can't trust their Ilk, I'm not even sure they are better than the cultists." The psyker said to his Commanding Officer without the slightest hesitation.

"Well for now they're sending these heretic bastards back to the warp where they belong , so until they start firing on us , good show to them!" The lieutenant replied with a big grin "And if and when they do....well then we do what the Emperor taught us to do to the treacherous!" He boomed .

"Well they certainly know where we are with me here, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent a hail of missiles our way" The astropath snorted "And now one of of them has left the ship" He added after a moment
