Just in time she recieved a vision from Aldion of an ambush lurking in wait, behind as nearby doorway, mid lunge she saw that should she attack this astartes another faster chaos marine was lying in wait through a nearby doorway, who would rrun her through, before she could even withdraw her, blade; indeed she would barely have time to react thanks to the vision, before a lesser demon blade slashed at where her neck would have been; had she no such vision, and what looked like a chaos marine blade master with a collection of eldar skulls hanging from their armor stepped out "Another rescue of a "Higher race" I am becoming quite proficient at this, wouldn't you say Xenos?" the astropath would joke dryly in her head

She procceded to fire on the hiding marine with her shuriken pistol , not intent on being cut down.

Unfortunately this one was no chaff even by atartes standards, with flourishes his mighty demon sword he swatted the disks out of the air as he barreled toward the eldar

She swiftly stepped aside , hopping back to exit the cramped corridor and entering a larger more open hall.

The marine was not far behind and with flawless technique pressed the offensive with a flurry of blows"She who thirst will be pleased to have the soul another fighter like you" he commented, as he effortlessly struck at her with speed rivaling her own, and strength far greater

She dodged to his right and slashed through his open armpit with all the dancing grace of a true scorpion "And Ynnead will be glad to drink your fetid soul chaos-slave!" She cried back fiercely .

"Not even a thank you for saving you, still haven't created a god of manners I see." Aldion quipped; While she was able to land grazing blow, she was also struck by the full might of an astartes fist that sent her sprawling across the ground, and cracked open her helmet. She would have been dazed by the blow, but knowing hesitation would spell her doom, the astropath who was in her mind already was able to absorb the dizziness himself, though he seemed to have proverbially touched something else as he did

She leapt back up , head ringing as she gave a small mental 'my thanks' to the astropath ,and returned to a fighting stance . She needed a way to kill this marine , but he was too strong , too fast..a foe that seemed beyond even her skill. Yet determined for vengeance and unwilling to quit or flee she steeled herself and dashed right towards him.

Fighting through the dizziness as best he could Aldion would help her glean insight into her opponents next move; this made the fight winnable, difficult, and uncertain as her opponent fought with great force and speed pushing her back down the hallway, but winnable if she could just find another oppening.

The eldar's eyes were quick and her blood ran like ice even in the heat of a battle,with every dodged blow and countered strike she gleaned more and more of his form until she found it! A slight gap in his stance when he went for downward strikes left his neck clean open! Hopping back she kept her guard low, hoping to lure him to take a crushing blow for her head.

This chaos marine was many things, wise was not really one of them. As far as he was concerned she was on the back foot, she was weak, and slowing down; he was going to end this right now, and send her soul to Slaanesh. He did indeed feign a low slash before switching to a powerful strike from above

Then it all stopped for him , a burst of speed he could not have expected like the final bite of a cornered viper. Her sting struck him in the neck , sliving right through his wind pipe and severing his spinal cord in a single deadly , calculated thrust . His blade clattered to the ground from his limp hands as she pulled it out and he fell. "Ynnead take you abomination." She spat out icily , watching through her helmet as he bled out onto the cold metal floor beneath her.

And then she remembered, about the other chaos marine who had just about broken into the engine room before the fight began...

She quickly turned and ran off to pursue them.

As she darted back down the hall towards the engine, the ship rumbled, and a massive explosion of force and fire erupted from the engine room, flinging the eldar back head first into the wall, not enough to cause lethal damage, but enough for her mental defenses to lapse briefly, but severely as she blacks out

As she drifted unconscious , her mind drifted back to long lost memories, and Aldion's vision began to shift before his eyes as the blaring alarms of the ship began to grow faint to his ears.

Aldion felt the world melt away, he tried to reach out for the wall to steady himself, but fell right on his ass, he would have tried to ground himself, but he was feeling the same shock that dropped the Eldar's guard, and while he was a bit more fortified mentally, it was not enough to pull the young astropath back to reality, he sank into this vision from the Eldar despite his best efforts.

Suddenly his eyes opened again...breath choked by the stench of ash and blood filling the air around him. Bolter shots ringing in the distance as he tried to collect himself, at his foot was the body of an eldar soldier , head on the cold ground nearby. Surrounding him was rubble , the smooth sleek architecture of the eldar fallen to the ground and burning about him. He had to move!

And that would be exactly what he would do running for wherever his instincts suggested shelter was, having no clue what even was happening.

As his bare feet ran across the broken remains of a street , the sounds of bolter fire and the roar of chainswords caught his ear from down the street , he had to keep running!

And so he did, leaping over bits of rubble and springing as fast as he can

Suddenly he felt his feet skid to a halt as a figure flashed past him like a bolt of lightning , a space marine ! Clad in sable black armor and white robes , a bolter in one hand and power axe in the other, terror instinctively flooded into his heart but he did not know why! Then he saw his reflection in a nearby puddle , pale skin and bright red hair tied into a top knot , and two long sharp ears.

"Well shit...." He thought realizing what was going on he tried to mentally dispel the vision

As he did the world began to shake and shimmer before his eyes as the sounds of a ship alarm began to rise in his ears.

Though it seemed admittedly counter productive the psyker pushed himself to his feet, and staggered towards the flaming part of the ship to hopefully make sure the Xenos did not die. Rescuing a xenos was certainly not something she would normally do, but... it seemed he would make an exception at least once more "All hostiles down, but I think we just lost out engine." He managed to send a message to the captain, though his head was already throbbing with pain, and the effort of doing so intensified the pain greatly; a bit of blood dripped from the bandages covering his hollow eyes as his body came under more strain from the attempt. Less than a minute later he found the scorpion still unconscious and slummed against a wall surrounded by flames  "No time to dying on the job you lazy Xenos." He joked lightly as he shook the blacked out scorpion back to her senses.
