"Start with not getting burned to death!" rowan saw the look on the kings face and pulled him after his fleeing mother and sister, and their guards

arden took out a key and unlocked her chains as they walked "I know you are a fighter, and this likely hurts your pride. Your soul is a tiger, and It is a tragedy to see someone with spirit such as yours locked in chains. I saved you for a few reasons, first of all keeping up with you was my duty, but I doubt the kind would have cared much, only what is of use seems to matter to him, and yes you are a lady and I would have gone after you anyway. But I really went after you have too much spirit to die in such a way"

Emron was surprised as Rowan pulled him and they went after his mother and sister, Emron obviously started running with him even if he didn't like the wizard. "So, you aren't gonna do anything to these flames? Can't you use your magic to make it go away?" Emron said to Rowan as he continued moving.

Javek had gathered some people in a group but with the fires blocking their paths they went into a different direction to find safety.

Odette's mouth gaped open.

Parath roared and flew towards the royal family, crashing into the ground in front of them. She roared furiously. She breathed fire in their direction by lucky chance.

(Btw, Fang, this is a good time to bring in your dragon)

Epona's eyes widened as the flames came towards them really fast. She hugged her mother tightly as she thought their death was imminent.

Vesryn rubbed at her wrists, rubbed raw from being dragged. "This spirit you speak so highly off would have killed you without thought yesterday," She replied. Tiger, eh? I like the sound of that. She just hoped the king wouldn't change his mind and order for her death when they return to him after Arden had gone through so much trouble to keep her alive. Or chain her up again; that would defeat the point of Arden's little speech. Though, they probably will anyway, as she is an elf and can't be trusted. "I owe you... a life debt," The words were painful to get out, but they were true. Imagine, being saved by a human. Miracles really do happen.

Ysabel pushed her daughter behind her, and angled her body in a way that it would hopefully block any oncoming flames. She looked towards her son, who was too far away for her to reach from where she was. The queen hoped dearly Rowan would be able to do something to help them, as the rest of them were basically helpless against the dragon.

(no not yet, he will be at the mountain)

Rowan was able to put up a shield of magic against the dragons flame to protect the group while the king nagged him to "Make the fire go away "No summoning elements of that caliber requires a complex incantation now hop in the damn river everyone!" he ordered them

Arden was surprised when she swore a life debt to him but nodded to her "I don't judge you for who you draw your blade for, so long as you believe the cause is right" he said simply to her

Emron heard what Rowan said about the elements and about the river, so he guessed he had no other choice then and jumped into the cold water.

Parath was able to sniff out one of the guards and bite down hard onto his torso, flinging him into the air, but blood splattered out of his body as he was clearly dead.

Some of the blood landed on Epona and she stared there with eyes wide, frozen in terror. The dragon was a lot stronger than she thought it would be, and her eyes rolled back and she fainted fearfully.

"You saved me, it is only right that I repay your kindness," She replied. She might have kneeled, depending on whether she felt like being dramatic or not, had she been standing and uninjured. She would have definitely done it if he would be embarrassed by it. Well, that can be for another time. Ah, good job, Vesryn. You now have to stick about with the humans until you've repaid the knight.

Ysabel caught Epona as she collapsed, her eyes full of concern. "Epona?" She raised her head to look at Rowan at his words, before nodding and doing as he asked. She pulled her daughter in with her, making sure her head was above the water. She imagined the frigid water will wake the girl up.

"Do you talk?" shadow asked curiously as he once again sttod on the dragons head

Rowan too jumped into the river after them

Arden actually seemed quite embarrassed himself as when the situation around them calmed down he realized he was carrying a half nude and quite attractive elven woman "well I appreciate your honor" he said to her

Parath growled savagely. "Get the hell off me, mortal fool!" she shouted, which was an obvious "yes" to his question.

Epona quickly awoke to the cold water and gasped as she was swimming, nearly going underwater. "What's going on?" she asked her mother.

"Don't tell me my knight in shining armour is blushing," She said, a half smile whispering on her lips. "You wouldn't want to increase my pride, now would you?" The elf herself wasn't at all ashamed for showing a bit of skin - it wasn't by choice, after all - as she had never felt the need to be. In fact, she was quite proud of her body. It was strong and reliable; she had honed and pushed it as far as it would go.

"We are fine," Ysabel replied, looking over her daughter and deeming her to be fit enough to swim herself. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" It was more of a demand, but that was the job of a mother: to make sure her offspring survive.

Parath hovering in mid air before she landed gently. "Get off now or I will kill you." she growled savagely, lowering her head so he could get off. "I will not attack when you do, for I can no longer see." she added in.

Odette sighed deeply. Of course, I get no thank you at all for shooting a dragon in the eyeball! she thought nastily in her head.

Epona nodded. "I'm fine mom, just scared." she told her truthfully.

Emron was relieved to know that his family wasn't hurt, but staying in cold water too long wasn't a smart thing so he started swimming to the other shore, away from the flames.

"Oh i'm fine too thanks for asking" Rowan said floating behind them. He was slightly annoyed with how many times he had saved these people, and how they had barely said two words to him and shown virtually no gratitude

"Well it certainly is well deserved pride" Arden said and did blush a bit as she noticed the look on his face then quickly found an excuse to divert his attention away from the elf in his arms "So oddette how are you holding up?" he asked her just to make sure she was

shadow leapt off her back "yeah sorry about that, you were trying to kill me in all fairness"

Parath growled in pain as it is clear her right front shoulder is bleeding, a lot. She didn't look hostile other than the fact her eyes were narrowed only because she hated his guts for doing this to her. She spread her wings out, about to take off, but listened if he said anything else.

Epona looked towards Rowan. "Thanks for saving my family!" she thanked him, bowing her head to him.

Odette growled angrily, sharpening her sword with a stone before she tossed it really hard at the ground. "Just fine and we would've been dead if I wouldn't have shot that dragon in the ****ing eye!" she exclaimed loudly in annoyance and frustration.

"Oh, you think so?" Vesryn asked Arden teasingly. Her head snapped towards the other knight at her outburst, her eyes widening at first. It didn't take her long to find it frankly amusing. "Oh, you children and your temper tantrums." She said, aiming to provoke the woman further. "Us elves evolved out of that childish nature a long time ago. Not to mention a true warrior doesn't need recognition for their actions, as long as they have done what they felt is right."

"Well we better get you to a healer" Shadow concluded to the dragon
