Rise of humanity: The Saga Of Steel

(K, after they crash it will be dawn and stormy)

Sudden winds made Parath being unable to navigate correctly and it was nearly dawn. Strong winds blew her towards the pass. "Hang on tight!" she shouted to Epona and Shadow before she felt a huge amount of pain enter her right wing as she crashed into a rock pillar with sharp edges. She forced herself to land despite roaring in pain but hallway down they dropped altitude within a second, but all 3 of them skidding to a halt on the hard, rocky ground all upright. Parath was panting slightly in pain and in fear.

Epona gasped and let out a little scream as they crashed before somehow she had fallen off the dragon's back as they crash. She rolled away to avoid landing hard on her already wounded arm. It wasn't a hard landing, so she managed to stand up soon after she stopped rolling. She glanced above as lightning roared overhead. "Parath! Shadow!" she exclaimed, worried.

As dawn had come, Emron slowly woke up from his sleep and yawned. He stood into a sitting position and rubbed his eyes and looked at everyone.

Vesryn jerked awake, as what sounded like an almighty roar faintly reached her ears. Being that they were slightly longer than a human's, it meant she was able to hear even the slightest bit better. Though, it meant heat escaped quicker, which was a bad thing in a blizzard like the one raging outside. She rubbed her eyes, pulling herself into a sitting position. Tugging her fingers through to try and calm the tangled knots in it, she glanced to the still slumbering Arden. She had fallen asleep close to him, though had remained a respectful distance away. That was until half way through the night when she had woken up shivering and had nuzzled into him for warmth.

Arden had been well aware of the elf snuggled against him all night and had even put an arm around her in the middle of the night, having also woken up on account of some thunder to the pleasant surprise of the elf woman pressed against, he had not missed the opportunity to cuddle with his favorite she elf. Upon him feeling he move arden woke himself. He gave a yawn and also picked himself up into a sitting position smiling at ves "Ah the things we do to keep warm" he said with an ever broadening smile.

shadow flew off parath and tumbled into the snow with a surprisingly energetic yell of "WEEEEEEEE!" this was exciting and quite a thrill for him

Parath growled angrily at Shadow. "Clueless dimwit!" she growled furiously before she slowly rose into a standing position. By then they could see her obviously bleeding gash in her right wing. She hissed deeply in pain but couldn't see what was causing it due to her blindness, so she'd have to take their word for it on how bad her injury was.

Epona rushed over to Shadow. "Shadow! Are you okay?" she asked him, worried.

Veronica slowly woke up and saw Emron wake too. "Morning handsome." she said softly to him. She then yawned widely, and her vampire fangs were obviously shown and she looked more like a cobra than a person.

Vesryn slapped him gently on the arm. "Shut up," She said, her tone teasing and her eyes full of amusement, and perhaps even a little bit of embarrassment. "Would you rather I froze to death?" The elf had dismissed the sound that awoke her as simply a stray sound carried by the wind; or perhaps it was the dragon going for an early morning fly. She hoped the beast was able to brave the feisty weather. But more importantly, were they going to brave the weather? She pictured everyone freezing to death before they made it half way through the pass. Except maybe for the vampire and Arden. Both of them seemed capable of surviving the blizzard.

Emron blushed lightly as Veronica said that he was handsome again, but he shook it off and stood up to look at the weather outside the cave as he wondered if they were able to get through it.

Javek was cooking the meat they had for the people as they woke up.

Veronica wasn't interested in the meat and looked outside the camp. "Looks like a blizzard is brewing outside. They don't phase me, I can't feel the cold anymore." she explained.

"Aww you don't need to be embarrassed about cuddling " Arden said, leaning in he gave her a light peck on the nose before himself blushing with embarrassment himself and standing up. He just couldn't resist, she looked so cute when she was a little embarrassed , "i'm going to see if rowan has a spare cloak you can borrow" Arden said as he turned to go do that

Shadow was laughing in the snow as he tumbled to a halt and rose to his feet looking for the others

Emron grunted a she looked outside, they might have to stay in the cave a little more as that storm looked nasty.

Javek was giving the cooked meat to the civilians to eat, they needed it after all.

Parath hissed in pain and felt cold air around them. A blizzard perhaps? Or snow? she asked herself in thought. "Shadow? Epona?" she asked for the two of them.

Epona gasped and shrieked in surprise as a thunderclap roared above them. She ran over to Shadow as he stood up and hug tackled him.

Veronica smiled. "Looks like we won't be travelling for a while." she muttered before she dared to step outside.

Her face turned positively beetroot at the action, and she bit down hard on her tongue to prevent the squeak of surprise. "Tha- thanks," She muttered, quite awkwardly, as she watched him collect a cloak if the mage had one spare. She flicked her gaze around at the rest in the cave, wondering if they had just seen everything that had just occurred.

Out of the roaring blizzard the Outriders stride into the cave ,each covered in snow ,looking ragged ,but each carrying a freshly killed wolf or deer over his shoulder "Thought we'd go and get breakfast " Piri explains as they all plop their kills down into a pile "Wolf got me good , nearly bit off most of my fingers "

Veronica looked towards the elves with slight interest and was curious why they'd been outside the entire night. "You could've stayed warm by the fire." she muttered the complete obvious to them.
