Action Comics Issue #1

A wave of fire exploded into Gear's face from the murderer's hands, washing over his metallic body like a searing tidal wave. His metal exterior beginning to glow white hot. Before any more damage could be done Goop slammed into the man's side , sending him flying back into a heap of garbage "Hey Gear you alright?!" He questioned with concern in his eyes, as he prepared for a fight. The Flaming Man beginning to stand up, two burning red coal like eyes glaring at the duo full of hatred.

Gear certainly did not expect such a fast retaliation, good thing he can't feel pain or otherwise Goop would hear him scream in agony. "I'm alright, however, any more heat and I am afraid the metal might start to melt... Let's finish this quickly." Gear says as he comes over to help fight the guy of fire and magma, trying to swing a few punches at its face.

Furrow-browed, Tara continued unwavering. The fire grew smaller as she did, the unbearable heat weakening. She climbed the floors, keeping an eye on the structural integrity of the building. Justin's busting in plus the fire was taking its toll on it. "Justin!" She cried, her concentration breaking briefly. "You're going to knock it down!"

As the steel fist connected the magma man went flying through a brick wall into an empty diner, though it left a smoking mark on his fist. Hoping to overwhelm the bastard Goop leapt into action , firing a large glob of green goo onto the flaming man. However the attack simply melted as he regained his footing, fists flaring up with fire as he charged right for Gear with a strange monstrous roar.

Gear would try to jump out of the way. "Any ideas how to calm its temper down!?" Gear asks Goop for ideas.

"Fine fine! Thanks for the heads up!" Justin shouted up at her and began using the holes he had already made

"Don't die!" She called after him, before focusing back on turning off the fire.

Goop shook his head "None for calming him down but...this might cool him off!" He declared as he extended his arms and began firing off a stream of goop onto the monster , fully aware of how friggin gross it was. "Hit him now! The slime will keep him from starting a fire!"

Gear watched Goop doing his thing, he then dashed forward to hit the magma guy with his metallic fist to the head. Do magma made creatures lose consciousness from hard hits anyway...?

There was a loud crack as the magma man slammed hard into a brickwall, the impact sending cracks through the hard brick. Seemingly defeated it flopped to the ground, it's fire beginning to fade.

Gear just stared at the magma man, just to make sure it didn't get up suddenly... He then looks over to Goop, they did it... They defeated this villain! "We... I guess we beat it...?" He says awkwardly.

".....I'm sorry for the cops who have to like...put him in cuffs." Goop smirked slightly at the goo covered creature , sure it was a bit anti-climactic but it's not like this was a comic book or something right? "Can you call the police with any gadget of yours....cuz i don't have a phone."

"Well sure, I did sort of... Put my cellphone in my head..." Gear says as he calls the police to arrest this madman. "They will be here shortly, I don't want to hang around and arrest us too so can we go pick up your friends and leave? I am sure we have a lot to talk about." Gear says and starts to head back towards where they left Justin and Tara.

Goop had already started running off by the time he finished his sentence.

Gear ran after him quickly. "Talk about a hurry..." He comments as they made their way back to Justin and Tara who were hopefully okay after their rescue mission.

Justin was just kind of fine, in fact he was mostly just sitting on a roof looking exasperated with having done this in the first place, because he knew it would only encourage Tara and Hobbie. He crossed his arms and looked at the building he had been evacuating people from... then shrugged it had, has to be done and sadly they had been the only ones around who could do it.

Meanwhile, the fire slowly fizzled out and the remains of the building released black smoke up to the sky. Tara visibly relaxed when she completed her work, tiredness shuffled into her body, for she had never concentrated her powers that hard for so long before. She grinned, raising her fist into the air. "Woohoo!"

"Hey! The fires out!" Hobie exclaimed, a feeling of utter relief and thrill running through him.

Gear spoke. "Come on let's go before more police arrive! Lead on Gooman!" Gear says, Goop did know the neighborhood better than them and it was time to go.

Justin flew down to hobbie and the others "Have fun playing with the pyro?" He asked

"No not rlly, I could sorta feel my body melting...not very fun." Hobie replied with a frown "Sike! It was fuckin' awesome!" He declared "We should move, the cops and press will get here soon."

"Move it!" Gear says hurrying them up, letting Goop lead since he was familiar with the neighborhood and probably knew a hiding place?

"Justin get me down off this roof!" She called after him.

As he began to run off towards the street corner, Hobey could hear a small voice in his head telling him to wait till the press came. To be a hero, to get the publicity, but he shooed it away quickly, he felt amazing right now. Just for having done this, for saving lives, for stopping the bad guy, he didn't need to be on tv for it to feel good. As he ran he beckoned for them to follow with urgency "I know someone who'll let us hide out."
