"This city is a hive of scum and villainy, feculent scum who hide beneath the surface like parasites, and it needs someone to clean it out!" Hobie growled in his best edgy hero voice as he looked down over a crowded street. It wasn't a very good voice but he was having fun so he didn't really care "Scale of one to ten how good was the voice?" He asked his two sidekicks, a big adorable smile on his  lime green jello face as he looked over his two best friends in the entire world "Also did neither of you guys get a costume? I mean it's easier for me with the whole cool ass shape-shifting deal but...Party City's pretty cheap." He noted half-joking, he didn't know how he'd convinced them to go along with this whole plan. Maybe he was just that charismatic, or maybe they just felt guilty for what had happened to him, but he didn't really care. End result was, they were gonna be friggin superheroes tonight, and for a life long comic nerd and idealist like Hobart Novak, that was all that mattered.

Tara needed little convincing on his part. It was without a doubt the most exciting thing to ever happen to her. A superhero. Imagine. Her, kicking ass and looking hot. If she were alone perhaps she'd go supervillain; anything for that buzz of adrenaline. "It was definitely a solid six but with practice I think you will be going places with it," She said with an equally large grin. "I'm still working on a costume design. You can't rush perfection. And also you might need to help me. Justin is useless at it."

"Three or four" Justin said sitting on the edge of the rooftop in a hoodie and jeans, looking rather tentative and anxious about the whole thing as he fiddled with his hair "This is quite literally the second or third worst idea you've ever had." He said aloud eyeing the street bellow, really if anyone else had suggested they dress in spandex and go out and fight hardened criminals he'd have been surprise, and probably would have started backing away slowly but hobie so he had almost seen it coming. He looked down at the city street bellow wondering if there was anyway he could talk them out of this though he already knew the answer... well he couldn't very well let his friends risk their lives alone, and they probably needed a more sensible person present anyway; he'd be like their batman only without the money or skills, and green lantern instead.

"Justin I am gonna make you get a costume, even if I have to design it myself." Hobie replied, completely ignoring his friends complaints in classic Hobie fashion. His 'costume' was the black stylized G that he'd make on his chest soon after suggesting they go out. Not like he needed one though, as he looked something like if Lime Jello and Venom had a baby.

"Yeah, so give over this is going to be so much fun," Tara said, wrapping one arm around Justin to pull him closer so she can noogie him. Both of him have most likely noticed the spike in her confidence lately, thanks to her new found abilities. Unlike Hob's, hers benefited her in perhaps every way. Well, save for loud noises as she has since found they can hurt. But now she can know where everything is, right down to the spider crawling up Justine's leg. "Hey Justin, there's a spider on your leg."

Justin who had been blushing, and about to protest this treatment suddenly froze up at the mention of a bug on his leg as he became aware of the sensation going down his leg. Justin began quietly repeating "Get it off, get it off, get it off." as he shivered, hand slowly reaching for his pocket knife as if the spider might catch him and attack if he moved to quickly, it seemed he was about to risk stabbing himself in the leg to deal with the thing, and despite ussually being the most logical of the group... this wouldn't be the first time he did that... they all saw what was coming

Tara tipped her head back and laughed. Teasing him about his bug fear is her favourite hobby. But she always has to step in lest he burn everything down or remove a limb. "Relax, I got it," She said, scooping the spider into her hand. She also is not quite used to the enhanced sense of touch. She could feel every hair on its body that brushed against her skin, feel the tiny hooks on the edge of its legs. Although it appeared she was staring at it crawling about her cupped hands, she could only build its shape in her mind through echo location. "Hey, by the way have you guys thought of a superhero name yet?"

"What do you take me for? Of course I have...I'm gonna be...*clears throat* Gelatinous Man!" He declared, in 1930's narrator fashion "Oooey Gooey Defender of Justice!"

"Yeah, and I'll be batman," Tara snorted. "You better be joking."

The goop man turned his nose up, hands firmly on his hips "And if I'm not?" He replied.

"Then I'm going to call myself Batman," She said, grinning.

"NO!" He replied immediately , waving the very notion away "I don't approve! No daughter of mine will disgrace the cowl!"

Her voice dropped several octaves. "I am the night." Turned out it was too low for her, and she ruined it by dissolving in coughs at the end.

In the background an incredulous Justin has recovered and is just shaking his head. This isn't a game, they could die especially tara who had no defense he knew of against guns.

"Oh stop being a baby ,if we were gonna die you'd think the meteor would have done it." Goop replied with a grin "Now come on let's go!" He exclaimed and just like that leapt off the roof to another building below.

Tara needed no encouragement to follow him, rolling as she landed. She turned to look at Justin expectantly.

Justin shakily flew after the pair, it looked a bit like a child riding a bicycle, not quite in control as he wobbled slightly, and too nervous to push the limits quite yet. Flying was hard at first and he was still a wee bit concerned (not without reason) that he might just fall at any moment "I'm not being a baby I'm being logical."

Tara grinned and ran to the end of the building top. Her footsteps were loud, the vibrations it produces letting her build up her surroundings in her mind. Never had she felt so free as when she got these powers.

A wild, childlike grin took over Hobie's face as he looked over his two best friends in the world, they had superpowers! Justin was flying! Fucking flying! "Justin!" He called out, the big adorable growing as he leapt up to a water tower and clung to it with one sticky hand "YOU'RE FLYING!!!"

"...Thank you for that contribution hobbie..." Justin replied deadpan as he struggled to stay flying.

"Hey, Justin!" Tara called to him. "How much do you think we could chuck at you before you fall?"

"Probably not a whole lot.... I'd rather not test it" He nervously muttered

"What do you think, Hob?" She asked, grinning. "Should we try?"

"YOU ARE FLYIIIING!"

Justin sets down on the new roof behind them looking mildly amussed
