Soren gestures around, "can you tell how many bodies are here? Who's to say it didn't eat?" Still a hint of doubt sounds in his voice

"If it was a wyvern or dragon, why aren't there any signs of fire?" Deliah pointed out as she munched on her sweet roll

Soren shakes his head, "Sometimes they don't use it. Don't need to." He flips over what might have been a torso with a booted toe, "could have been a were though...or even just men..."

Arden examined the limbs to see if they were torn or cut

Piri was getting mighty tired of stealthily sitting on this roof and wondered when Ysabel would arrive at all, she was really drawing this out right now and he had places to be. The ship will be back looking for him in a few hours and he has to get back to the harbor in time if he doesn't wish to be stranded out here.

The limbs look torn, but by something incredibly sharp

"This is definitely not human, these were torn, and not cut." Arden said to soren

Soren nods, "so weres? Dragons seeming less likely by the minute. No claw marks where it would have landed"

"Perhaps a maticore, or a chimera" Arden knew that those were possibilities as well

Ysabel had ensured everyone knew where they would be sleeping, before she retired to her own room. She took a breath when she walked in; it appeared virtually undisturbed. She had expected it to be cleared out when she left, but evidently not. Nostalgia pricked at the back of her mind, as she just walked around and familiarised herself once again with her room.

Piri's long ears twitch as he hears someone enter the room, from the light creaks on the floor and gentle step pattern he suspects it's the queen . His hand moves to the sword on his back as he begins to silently creep down the roof towards the balcony, it's night and even though the moon is in a massive and glowing full moon he should e able to make a clean escape .For only a moment he wonders why he excepted this mission, last he knew he was a deserter , he had left the elven army to escape the guilt of their depravity.Yet here he was, about to murder a woman on the orders of people who don't give a damn about him.

"Watcha doin buddy?"from behind piri came the young voice of the sixteen year old assassin shadow, who had been patiently stalking the queen from the shadows, waiting for her assassin to show up.

Piri's eyes narrow , as he turns to face Shadow , slowly drawing his blade from its sheath, the red barbed edge of his sword glistening in the moonlight as he takes a firm stance , his knees bent into an almost squat and his blade held horizontally parallel to his eye level. Right now for whatever reason he's really hoping Shadow doesn't recognize him, which he may not. Aside from the mask covering his mouth and nose his hair has been turned grey and his eyes a deep green from his exposure to necromantic magic . However he does stand firm, if he flees it would only give Ysabel the chance to mobilize more of a guard for herself. He may as well finish it here after he's done with the young assassin.

"Hi piri, so what's going on lately? you look like shit." Shadow said loud enough for the queen to hear, he made no move for his weapon, though he knew it was fighting time

He doesn't answer his of course because now is not the time for petty banter, however he does smirk under his mask. With a wave he back flips off the roof and onto the balcony , right into Ysabel's room . After all why fight Shadow in the first place if he can kill the queen now and finish his mission?

Ysabel's eyes darted to the window at the sound of voices, and she rushed to the door. However, she wasn't quick enough and gave a small gasp as the assumed assassin appeared in her room. She pulled the stiletto knife from where she kept it on her person at all times and held it in front of her. She knew she wasn't skilled with weapons, but having one was better than not, in her opinion.

Shadow is only  a step behind because he wants to be, with his smaller frame among other things his speed, and agility Dwarf the elf's he lands with a boot on the back of piri's head, then kick flips off him, drawing his daggers mid air he lands between him, and the queen

Piri grunts and with a flick of his wrist lodges some daggers in the hinges of the door making it impossible to push or pull open without bending the tempered steel daggers. His identity already revealed his pulls down his mask, scars and badass stubble marking an entirely changed elf.

Shadow looked like  a small framed and energetic teenager.... because that's what he was
