"You didn't tell me the healer was a dragon," Vesryn cried, feeling she should have at least bathed before this meeting. She entered the cave anyway, dipping her head respectfully once she reached the beast. "I am Vesryn; it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," The elf said as a form of introduction. She refrained from saying more on the subject when the dragon spoke about her race, so instead she said, "I, er, would understand if you preferred not to heal me."

"oh cordath? yeah he's like my cool uncle" Arden explained to her with grin as he saw her face

The dragon snorted "I don't hate you betrayer you know not what your kind has done, come here so I may have a look at that leg of yours do not worry about the bath, the guest room has a hotspring"

"You are truly full of surprises, Arden," Vesryn muttered, shaking her head. She obeyed the dragon's request, stepping closer to him to allow him closer inspection of her wound. "I'm sorry?" She asked, tilting her head. "What have they done?"

"why would I be afraid of her?" Shadow asked epona as he smoothly yanked his knife out of her eye "She's a sweetheart underneath you can tell" he chuckled


"Perhaps you know that the majority my people used to be more than roaming beasts?" The dragon asked knowing that much should be common knowledge for an elf "And perhaps they told you, you seem like a well educated noble, so you may know that long ago we helped foster your kind into the powerful race it is today. Likely you believe that one day we went feral and lost our minds or whatever poppycock they say these days " the dragon leaned in and inspected the leg "you walked on this too much don't do that you could tear something" it interrupted its own story to lightly scold her with concern. The dragon as a very carring presence to say the least.

Parath growled shortly as he pulled his knife out. She still couldn't see though.

Epona looked at the dragon and gulped. "She burned an entire forest in less than a day and she killed many of the guards." she answered him.

At the sound of that, Parath growled low. She's not going to say what her brother did, is she? she asked herself in thought.

"She has a temper" Shdow say patting her on the nose

Parath exhaled hot air in his face from her nostrils.

Epona gazed at her warily.

(Wait for the others?)

"She's not a monster" Shadow said to her

Epona blinked her blue eyes and looked at Parath. "Why isn't she? She is one to me, she threatened to kill my brother." she exclaimed, just loud enough for only Shadow to hear.

Parath growled lowly still until she stopped and closed her eyes, trying to rest since she was still feeling a bit weak from attacking earlier.

Shadow shrugged "She just isn't one, you could tell it hurt her to here and that's why she threatened your brother" shadow said and gave the dragon a big hug

Parath stood up and backed away from him, not wanting a hug.

Epona watched and considered apologizing for her brother but considered having her brother do ii instead.

(how did she know the hug was coming?)

(He tapped her with his hands :/ )

shadow was too fast and had already hugged her

Parath sat there, making a face that said "Was that really necessary?" and frowning deeply because she wasn't used to having this sort of interaction with mortals.

Epona watched in awkward silence.

"yes" shadow said and let her go

Epona laughed. "I'm surprised she didn't attack you." she admitted.

Parath snorted in response to that before curling up and covering her face with her tail.

"I'm not, like I said she's not a monster" Shadow said to epona "Now me, i'm a monster. killed an entire noble family for money when I was twelve, no one suspected the little serving boy till it was too late, did the same last year" Shadow said to her

Parath deliberately wacked him in the head with her tail. "Oops." she said, not meaning it.

Epona gulped fearfully at his response.

Shadow chuckle merrily grabbing her tail

shadow let it go looking sad

Parath lowered her head. "I'd give you a ride but you'll have to navigate." she told him.

Hadow quickly hop on extremely excited "Yes! dragon riding!" he exclaimed

Parath spread her wings out. "Hold on because if you fall I won't be able to catch you." she told him before flapping her powerful wings and lifting into the air, straight up.
