"And that was hilarious," She said, nodding.

"Was it really tho?" He replies, she had literally dyed his hair bright neon green whilst he slept and somehow he hadn't noticed .

"It really was," She replied. "It was totally worth the week after you didn't speak to me.... And put that dead mouse beside my window. Which I am still convinced was you."

"I never said I didn't he replies frankly as he crosses his arms and stares off into the distance as though reliving his memories of being ridiculed in class for his glow in the dark neon green hair that was the result of allowing Devi to sleep over at his.

"It was completely worth it though," She said, grinning.

"Was it worth the friendship you scarred?" He asks seemingly entirely serious about it.

"I think our friendship is strong enough to deal with the occasional unconsensual hair dye," She nodded.

Chris sighs "I don't even think I'd look bad with bright green hair, you just did it wrong, I can't have that color while my hair is all swept up like this, couldn't pull it off" He replies nodding .

"I concur," She replied, still grinning.

"I feel like saying fancy words like that used to be funny in a sort of meta social commentary on the way people use elaborate rhetoric to seem important but now it's just not as funny anymore" He replies completely serious as he rubs his chin deep in thought.

She chucked a cushion at him. "You're being pretentious again."

He simply shifts his glare towards her and says"Could you stop?"

She frowned at him. "You Go between being all complimenting to glaring."

He nods "Well I'm sorry that I just don't appreciate being bombarded by cushions" He replies raising a brow with mirth.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm hardly bombarding you with cushions."

He immediately takes on the accent of a grizzled British sergeant As he uses another pillow as cover "Get down men another volley is coming through!! Call command and ask for some armored units I don't know how long we can last in this damn hail of steel!!"

She snorted. "You're so weird."

"No! Williams! Get up! You're not dying on me today , we're going to get you home! You'll see that wife of yours again!!" He continues yelling .

"He shouldn't worry; she's pretty enough to find a new husband," she added, grinning.

"C'mon Williams talk to me! You just keep those eyes open okay? We'll get Black Bess moving again and we'll be out of these Jerry lines in a jiffy !" He continues as he laughs.

"And then boom!" Devi cried, arms waving, before she continued quieter, smirking. 'You all die. How sad."

"Well Dev we're in a tank, so we might not, I mean you are only throwing pillows at us" Chris replies laughing as he looks over his wall of pillows at her .

"Unless I get a really big pillow, and put an atomic bomb in it," she theorised.

"Whatever , now back to the question I never got finished asking,why'd you want to come by?" He asks as he jogs over to his bench press and starts adding weight.

"I was bored, and I wanted to check how the bestest person ever was doing," she replied, stretching herself out on the sofa when he got up and burying herself in the fort of pillows.
