Treasure Hunt: Necklace that Kills

Acheron was sitting at a table in the Nightwood Inn cafe, he had put a old map there with a marker to some spot. He seemed to be examining the mark and was wondering to himself, he was going to go and retrieve what ever was pointed in this map. But the treasure hunt would be way too dangerous alone, but who else can he take with him on this? Last time he had a dark angel called Nakita with him when they went to retrieve the Sword of Sin but that half-breed Cthulhu stole it for himself instead.

Acheron would see a black cat sitting on one of the tables curiously watching him. He had heard of Acheron before but he didn't really know what he was like.

Acheron wondered whose cat it was, not to mention, were pets allowed in here? Well, Brendon is basically half animal and Cassandra is a doggy... Maybe he shouldn't think of it this way, a cat was a cat, not a very intelligent supernatural like the others. Acheron focused back on the map.

Jinx hopped down from the table and hopped on the table the map was on. "What you doing?" he asked curiously, flicking his tail.

Acheron gave Jinx a quick look, he then shook his head a little not answering and looking back at the map. Acheron thought he had just imagined a voice...

Jinx glared at him. "You're Acheron right?" he asked him, stepping on the map.

Acheron's attention was now fully on Jinx, since as an annoying cat would do is stand in places that get in the way. "Okay, what is the deal with the talking cat?" Acheron wondered leaning on the chair cushions folding his arms as he stared at Jinx.

Jinx blinked. "Neko subspecies." he said, closing his eyes. "I'm Jinx, I'm wondering you're doing with a map." he said.

Acheron kept looking at jinx, he hasn't seen talking animals before. "The map is for location an old artifact, nothing a cat would be interest in you know? It isn't a stash of canned cat food, but a necklace." Acheron said as he eyed Jinx curiously.

Jinx blinked. "Pah-lease, I've went for an artifact in Egypt that was like a wand, you think I wouldn't be interested?" he asked.

Acheron scratched his head, he had to wonder. "Why would a cat be interested in some dusty old wand from Egypt?" Acheron asked, he also thought that Jinx was weird.

Jinx hissed. "Because I can use magic." he said.

Acheron shook his head a little and then spoke. "Whatever kitty, anyway... How did you know my name by the way? You have business with me or something?" Acheron asked since he did not know why a cat would come to him.

Jinx blinked and smiled. "I new about the undead army." he said.

Acheron raised an eyebrow at that, he then spoke. "And...? Don't we all?" Acheron wondered, this cat was indeed strange.

Jinx blinked. "Fine, if you don't want the help of a cat who can teleport and shoot fireballs, then read your map and go find the item by yourself!" he shouted, walking off.

Acheron raised his eyebrow at that, he spoke. "Can you really teleport? Would be useful to get past some traps... But I still don't understand your motives, you aren't here to just snatch the necklace for yourself? Or whoever is your owner..." Acheron said as he found Jinx suspicious now.

Jinx blinked his eyes. "Of course I can teleport, how else would I get inside through a closed door when I'm only 1 foot tall? And as for my motive, I don't have any. I don't want any necklace, I can't even fit one on my neck. The only thing I want out of it is it gives me something to do besides sleep and eat all day." he said.

Acheron fold the map so that it fit in his pocket, he then spoke. "Oh really? And here I thought that cats like to eat and sleep all day... They sure seem to do it a lot..." Acheron said with a small chuckle but he was ready to leave.

Jinx teleported right in front of him.

Acheron almost stepped on Jinx when he did that, he gave Jinx a mild angry look for that but then exited outside to collect that necklace before anyone else can.

Jinx would follow after Acheron without the demon noticing.

Acheron would walk outside the city to the plains, go past a village and to some ruins that lead underground. He would move some stone plate and a stairway down was revealed, he started going down it.

Jinx would follow after him still, making sure the demon didn't get hurt.

Acheron was successful in disarming a few blade traps as they were noticeable by looking at the walls and floor below, since the narrow chasms were obviously wide enough to sprung a blade so he used his shadow form to work around them and put them off. But Acheron did not look up on the ceiling so he was about to walk into spike trap where spikes would fall down on him and crush him.
