Uncharted Waters

"Consider the last place I was employed at , of course I have" He replies "Maybe not in a jungle , but yes I have" With that he begins scaling down the uneven rocks that lead down into the canyon ,beckoning for you to follow.

Leo did so at his request. He wasn't incredibly incompetent at all this, however he wasn't as skilled as Chris.

Chris drops down onto a rocky path and continues going , then gunshots , several gunshots .

The poor wee kid looked like a startled bunny at the sound of the gunshots, and crept closer to Chris.

Chris doesn't even blink "Hmmn , as to be expected " He states as he scans the area "You still wanna do this?"

"Can't go back now," He said with a smile, feigning nonchalance.

Chris sighs but smiles at Leo's attempt at bravery "You're adorable" he replies , and kisses him on the cheek before continuing down the path.

Colour rose to his cheeks at that, as he followed closely on his tail.

Chris leads the two of them out into the jungle cavern , the crags of which are covered in vines and flowers , and from what you saw earlier an entire area of the cavern has been flooded over , as it's connected to a river. Chris puts a hand to his chin as he looks around "We know they have weapons , and if we want to be safe we'll need some too , they've got to have a storehouse somewhere"

"You ever used any of them before?" Leo asked, because he hadn't.

"Well yeah , like I said earlier , consider my past profession " He replies smoothly as he takes the lead , sneaking through the rocky maze like the snake he is.

Leo wasn't entirely sure how weapons were involved in his past profession. Guess he was too innocent to know these things.

Eventually they reach the area that's almost flooded over with brown murky water , in the center of the murky lake their is a house built on stilts "There's gotta be SOE weapons there, do we swim or find a boat?"

Leo didn't like the look of the water. "We could have a quick look for a boat."

Chris nods in agreement ,and turns back from their current path , taking another turn , leading them to another area at the edge of the lake ,where a small kayak lies.

Leo grinned. Now that was something he could help with.

Chris turns to Leo "I have no idea how to operate this thing" he states bluntly.

"Don't worry," He said, grabbing the oar, and motioned for Chris to climb in.

Chris nods , trusting him completely as he hops in.

Leo uses his foot to shove the kayak into the water, before clambering in after him. The oar cut through the water as he rowed the two of them towards the building.

Suddenly they hear yelling as two people across the lake see them and start screaming in some language they don't understand. "Row faster Leo!"

"Balls," He murmured, speeding up the rowing.

Chris haphazardly tries to help just as bullets begin skimming over the water's surface "Get down!" Chris yells tackling Leo and flipping over the boat to give them cover as he swims for the shack.

Leo was not expecting this and it resulted in his getting a mouthful of the murky water. He spluttered up the disgusting stuff when his head broke the water but he barely had any time to acknowledge this as he was already swimming after Chris.

As they swim Leo is grazed on the leg with a bullet . Those guys seem to be firing into the water now. Chris quickly pulls Leo up onto the porch of the shack and dthrough the door "HOLY SHIT WHAT KIND OF TREASURE IS THIS!??!"
