"Well that checks out then" the leader was the only one of the group who didn't seen in awe "Come on then let's go god slayer." he said simply though others were bowing to Xaba's majesty

"By the gods..." Rini murmured, gazing up at the huge beast.

Xaba nods , turns to others and says simply "Come now , we don't have all night." With that he turns around and follows the warrior off.

Rook followed him seeming very casual about all this, though he was surprised

Rini shadowed Rook, eyeing the natives carefully.

Elian cast a confused look at Franky, to see if he knew what the hell was going on.

Franky is just blocking all of this out at this point so that his brain can keep functioning .

Elian then shrugged and continued following them.

(Timeskip!)

 After a few hours of walking through the jungle they find themselves on the edge of a massive cliff , on the edge of the horizon , framed by the rising sun , is a massive city . It is huge , built on the edge of a mountain , pinnacled by a massive stone spire that fuses with the stone of the mountain itself. Even from here hundreds of torches can be seen blazing on the walls .

"And here i was expecting mud and thatch huts" Rookwood said with a hint of condescension he seemed to carry around as sure as his wand and staff.

"Our cities are not like yours Doctor , you should not assume" The shaman replies flatly.

"Oh I know, but still yours are not too bad" Rook said, it seemed as if rook meant this as a compliment

Xaba just chuckles at that and shakes his head.

"It's a wonder these people still keep you around, Rook," Rin said.

"They wouldn't have made it this far without me."Rook said, it wasn't humble but it was fact. It did not occur to him that these primitives could possibly consider their culture, with it's little canoes and wooden spears anywhere near the equal of his.

"You are truly a delight," She drawled.

He smirked picking up on her sarcasm "I know, a people person beloved by all, that's me" he joked

A while later


The group find themselves in front of the massive golden doors that allow entrance to the city. The doors shine in the light of the morning sun , intricately adorned by carvings of jaguars and dragons with eyes of jade and lapis lazuli . ON either side of the door standing on large pedestals are two identical massive statues of clay jade and gold , they are warriors , wearing garb similar to that of the guards who escorted the crew here , with shields of gold and rock and clubs of jade and obsidian .However what catches the eye most is their faces , both carved to near perfection , one would be forgiven for thinking that any second now the golden irises of their jade eyes would turn their glance to the small crew.

Xaba is the first to step forward , walking until he's directly in front of the massive gate , he clears is throat and in a regal tone recites " I Xabalanque son of Awilix goddess of the moon and Chaac Leader of the Eagle Warriors request entry into the city of Ah Puch." Slowly those very same statues step down from their pedestals and push open the doors "ENTER" they both growl simultaneously , eyes looked on each and every member of the crew .

"Those statues are well made i have to say." Rook commented as they passed them

"By the gods," Rin looked at Rook in mock shock. She pressed a hand to her heart, eyes widening to the size of saucers and she stumbled backwards into someone. "Rook... Are you feeling okay?" She stepped tentatively towards him, pressing a hand to his forehead. "You just... You just said something... nice."

Rookwood rolled his eyes at her smiling a bit

"Does... Does this mean you have a heart after all?" She questioned, still milking it.
