Epona sighed deeply and took a seat somewhere close since she wasn't going to risk it.

Parath slowly calmed down until she stopped trying to fight him, but her eyes were still red.

Arno nods and leans against a nearby wall "My lady if I may ask , why are you so rude to your mother Her Highness?"

Epona closed her eyes. "Because she could've told me she ordered you to guard me before-hand plus eventually I'll get forced into a marriage." she said. "I know it's my duty as a princess, I just think it's a bit unfair to me. Plus it wasn't my choice of being born into the royal family, and sometimes I wished I was born into a poorer family." she added in.

"She's forcing you into a marriage because you've shown you don't know how to handle yourself in the real world , and that wish to be born into a poorer family just shows how ungrateful you are for what you have ,on the hand of the Queen not announcing my arrival, she most likely didn't think you'd be so insolent and shameful in front of others "

Epona blinked her eyes and put her head to her knees. She was listening and was ashamed of what she had just said.

"My lady , you are the princess of your now destroyed nation, I know it may be hard but you must act with the dignity and poise that requires lest the legacy of your homeland be marred" He states calmly his eyes turning to her , perhaps she isn't so bad."Not to mention you are with child , imagine what would happen if you were to die in childbirth , would you want your son or daughter to here stories of how their mother was an insolent child?"

Epona flinched visibly. Not from his words, but because she started cramping. She grunted and held onto her stomach.

"What's gotten to you parath? " shadow asked the dragon in a calm voice even though he was extremely concerned for her

Arno simply shrugs , there is no way for him to help her with this problem , as he is a man of arms not a nursemaid.

Emron had split from the main group with Veronica, enjoying some privacy with her as they sat leaning on a large boulder and Emron had one of his arms wrapped around Veronica's waist. It was a moment of silence so it was peaceful.

The sharp sound of a bugle rings in the air outside of Ysabel's home as a carriage arrives in the courtyard.

Ysabel was saved from having to ask Cole's question at the sound of the horn, and she stood to see who it was. They were greeted by Ronan at first, who immediately bowed upon recognising who it was. Ysabel appeared in the doorway, and strode out to meet the visitor.

"A most wonderful morning don't you think my sister?" Phillips asks with his trademark optimism as he strides out of his carriage confidently "You look stressed,what happened? Is it your daughter again?"

"It is both my daughter and my son, dear brother," Ysabel replied wearily, making her way towards him. "They neither of them have any social tact." She said, and shook her head. "I have been forced to hire a guard to protect Epona as she has shown to me that she cannot make any wise decisions or take care of herself."

Cole wondered if he should introduce himself, he wondered a lot of things. Do guards introduce themselves in human kingdoms? Is he officially a guard? Do non guards introduce themselves? Was he being rude by being silent or polite? What happened if you were rude to royalty, did they cut your head off? are they going to cut his head off? The half goblin who already stuck out shifted in a worried manner as he contemplated these things.

Veronica was silent and leaning against him, slowly falling asleep.

Epona was staying by her guard's side since her mother had business to attend to, or so she assumed.

Parath rose into the sky since the one tree on fire was collapsing towards her.

Phillipe nods , his face showing sympathy for her plight ,with a slight smirk "These conversations we have almost make me glad I have no children of my own" He says as his glance turns to Cole "A goblin this far south? " he murmurs.

Her mouth formed a grim line. "Sometimes I envy you, brother dear." She turned to look at the goblin at Philipe's question. "This is Cole, he offered to accompany us after some... skirmishes we faced on our travels."

Epona slowly stepped to her mother's side.

"Hmmn , and yo assigned him to your guard? How unlike you dear sister" He replies with a chuckle .

"We had precious little options left," She said, eyes flicking to Epona when she appeared, and she immediately cast her gaze around to ensure her guard was doing his duty.

Arno is of course right there , taking a deep bow before Phillipe who simply waves it off and tells him to stand " So you are to a grandmother soon if all goes well correct?"

Epona flinched at his words and then she reminded herself childbirth was dangerous nowadays, and she'd have to go through with it after she turned 19 years of age. She glanced towards Arno. Never any privacy, before turning back to Phillipe.

"Mm, yes indeed," Ysabel replied, eyes returning to her brother. "Hopefully this child will grow up to be wiser and more grateful."
