"Will he be... ok?" Shadow wondered looking at the baby dragon

Parath nodded her head. "As long as I keep him by my side, yes." she told him standing up and flapping her wings a little.

Ator made a growling sound as he came closer to Shadow.

Shadow offered him a peice of jerky from his pocket, and asked parath "I mean will the be able to think like you or...?" shadow was concerned for her and her offspring

Parath's head lowered a little. "If humans earn his trust, then maybe, but if not, he'll most likely try to kill someone." she told him before she laid down panting. "I'm so hungry." she said.

Ator sniffed it and quickly grabbed it in his mouth, trying to chew it.

"I'll go get some food" Shadow offered

Parath nodded her head and watched Ator who had eaten the jerky.

Ator flapped his wings a little.

Shadow left to hunt

Parath would wait for him inside the shack, keeping watch over Ator.

Ator started rolling around in the hay.

As soon as Shadow is a good bit into the wilderness Piri appears out of some foliage , a blade in hand "I want my rematch, no chairs this time"

"We're in a desert, i'm pretty sure that bush is not indigenous" Shadow said more concerned with the bush than piri

'yeah I dunno It was the only bush around , you gotta make do right?" He replies nodding as he stares at the bush .

(he's been gone for like ten minutes it takes hours to hunt)

"So listen i've got a hungry and impatient dragon with a baby to feed, so unless you want to deal with a pissed off hangry dragon mom after a one night stand resulting in a child i'm going to go hunt... then go play with a baby dragon, now you can be a part of that... or you can not" Shadow said plainly to piri

Piri shrugs, it's not like he really has to kill Shadow , and he's got some time till he has to report back "Sure"

Parath was growing really impatient now and smoke came out of her nose.

Ator was laying down.

"cool, so uh awkward question, why did you join the bad guys?"shadow asked as they hunted together

"Didn't join was stolen and have been brainwashed " He explains flatly.

"Oh that happened to me when i was a kid" Shadow said to piri as he saw the tail of a giant cobra disappear into a cave

Piri draws two long knives and begins to stalk towards the cave "Yeah ,still pretty brainwashed now"

"It's all in your head, going against it isn't complicated" shadow said taking out his katana, he knew that most brainwashing was built on the mentality that there was nothing the victim could do about it, and especially in short term cases it was wholly false

Parath was starting to get very annoyed.

Ator was asleep.

As the storm picked up Arden knew that Vesryn couldn't take much more of this , the fact was she'd never make it to town without  a case of frostbite, even he was getting cold and town was still hours away. He was weighing their options when he saw a cave with a fire burning in it not far away, having no other option he headed for it

(Ye wouldn't be long gettin' frostbit"

Vesryn was no longer shivering, she was just passed that. Her lips and hands were tinged a slight blue. Suffice to say she was immensely tired of this shit. Her eyes also locked on the crimson streak that broke through the curtain of otherwise pure white, and her body ached for that delicious warmth. But her rational mind stopped her from sprinting up towards the cave. Or more accurately, hobbling, as she couldn't feel her toes. "Arden," she warned; they don't know who or what is in that cave, it could very well be dangerous.

"We're short on options Ves!" Arden knew she was going to second guess this plan of his, but they had no other options, picking holing vesryn up close to him and using his cloak to shield her from the winds he pressed on quickly. luckily it was close and only twenty or so seconds before they were inside and arden was wrapping her in the extra layer of his bear pelt cloak. Dy the fire was a man, a slightly thin man in a grey robe, and hood that obscured his face "cold out there eh?" the man asked cheerfully as he looked at them, they could not see his eyes but it was clear he was looking at them. Arden was polite now vesryn was wrapped up bey the fire in a position as warm as it was difficult to wiggle out of, though arden had not anticipated the later. "Aye" Arden greeted the man politely, and asked "My wife here was freezing I hope you don't mind if we wait the storm out with you by the fire." Arden spoke in a friendly manner, and the man replied "Not at all I welcome the company, care for some stew?" He asked motioning to a pot by the fire as he ate from his own bowl.

Vesryn could have moaned in delight as the warmth of the fire enveloped her, but she held it in because that would just be awkward. She managed to prevent Arden from wrapping her up tighter than  burrito, in case they need a quick get away or she was required to fight. The old man didn't look dangerous, but it was never wise to judge someone by their appearance, so she kept her gaze locked on him while Arden did the pleasantries. Oh, stew. My old friend. But she did not ask, as she didn't trust this man in the slightest.
