Demetri tried some more explanations, but every one of the faded away. Evenaturally he gave up, and ran his fingers through his hair. "I... have no explanation."

As a reward for his attempt he feels the softness of Candy's lips against his "A for effort buddy "

Demetri drew back, as he was still super self conscious about the rest of the school.

Candy nods slowly " I understand , it's fine if you aren't ready for all of that yet" He pats Demetri on the shoulder , a reassuring look in his eye "I , I don't wanna press you into anything if you ain't ready y'know?"

"Yes but you just told all my friends and now they will tell everyone, " He replied, growing annoyed.

Candy forces himself not to roll his eyes as he hears this "D , maybe if you picked your friends better they wouldn't immediately expose you the minute they inevitably figured out why the hot, rich , vampire boy isn't swimming laps in vagina."

A shrug. "I told them I was arranged to marry a Sanguine girl."

"That girl you treat like a sister?" He replies flatly as he examines his nails.

"Yeah, I'm not looking forward  to it," He said

"Then maybe ...tell your parents?" He replies, looking at Demetri like he just said apple was a condiment.

"Yep, that's a good idea," He said sarcastically. "I'll just stab myself with a stake while I'm at it to save them the trouble."

"They'd be more angry if you married her and it came out afterwards " Candy replies in the bluntest manner possible , because honestly that's just friggin' obvious.

"I don't think so," He said. "Sure being gay is a choice, no?" His voice turned harsh and bitter.

"Dude I'll be a hundred percent honest with you , if I didn't have to be gay...I'd be out the game man" He replies with a chuckle.

"Who wouldn't be," He murmured, staring at the ground like he wanted to set it aflame with his gaze.

"Sand Francisco" He replies with a grin "Alright um , I'm really sorry for the whole Sparta kick thing , but it doesn't seem like this is gonna go anywhere, so if you'd like me to just go."

"No, don't, "he said hurriedly, the thought of him leaving making him panic slightly.

Candy can't help but grin , a red flush coming over his slightly freckled tan skin as he crosses his arms , he can't help but get a bit of an ego boost from Demitri's desperation , blinding smile wide and proud from the response. "Well if you insist Cabron" He replies , forcing himself to suppress the cheer bubbling up in his center as he leans against the grey bark of the birch tree, his mind made up. You and me are gonna have a lot of fun D , mostly me..but still.

Demetriflushed, embarrassed at his outburst. He didn't expect to feel that way at the thought of Candy leaving. But well... he was the only person ever he didn't have to hide himself from.

Candy's grin gets wider, hazel eyes glinting with just the most delicious kind of evil as he thinks up so many terribly hilarious things he could do with this kind of power. "Alright then guapo , if you want me to stick around I suppose we should get a bit more acquainted no?" He suggests , hands on hip "I mean I can't lie and say I'm not in love but , we can't date if we don't even know each other "

""Dates are usually used to get to know someone more though," He replied. Although he did truly want to get to know Candy more, he was also concerned at the prospect of a date, and especially one in public.

"I meant date in the 'be boyfriends' way " He replies casually "Mierde ,I actually have to go now that I think about it , but here's my number" He says as he quickly writes it down on a strip of paper and hands it over to Demetri "Be seeing you !' He says as he runs off.
