God I hate you

"Pleasure," He said calmly, despite his feet having left the ground.

Spanish curses basically , just lots and lots of angry spanish curses...and probably some threats mixed in "Hey uh..big bro?...Can you put him down?" Candy asks quietly , and abruptly D is dropped "If I ever here about you touching my little brother again...we are all going to kill you..you got that?"He states coldly , muscular arms crossed "And I know you're a vampire but I don't think even you could survive getting hit by a hummer"

"Define touching," He responded dryly, quickly finding his feet again. "And I am sure my very powerful family will appreciate your running over me with a hummer."

"We've a lot of land here....they'd never find the body..just...treat him right okay" He replies and with that goes back to the dog. "So uh...that's my brother...he's a great guy really querido, he's just protective he's like this for everyone"Candy explains with a heavy embarrassed  blush.

Demetri smoothed down his shirt. "Is all your family going to threaten me?"

"I...probably yeah perrito , probably yeah" He replies with a sheepish grin "But I bet I can smooth it over with them"

"Terrific."

"Baby you'll love them I swear" He replies with a smile as he takes back D's hand."Wait...did he say baby?...I'm telling mooom!" A small child's voice from the nearby cornfield yells.

"Is a child going to threaten me now?" He asked, looking around. "Because that's adorable."

There are about six kids standing behind them ,all frowning adorably.

"Oh hi," He said, when he noticed them.

"los pequinos diablos! Get off of him!" Candy demands as he attempts to pull the swarm of baseball bat wielding children off of his prospective boyfriend , as they have begun beating him down with the plastic bats and will continue until he plays dead.

Demetri let out a few curses, throwing up his arms to shield his face. A blow to the head he believed to be the perfect moment to slump to the ground.

Thinking they have neutralized the target they pat each other on the backs and are swiftly driven off by Candy's threats of telling their mother.

Demetri remains down as he is convinced it is a trap and they will pounce on him again as soon as he moves.

"D , the coast is clear , nada on the children" Candy reassures him and helps him up "We need to get inside quick , more may be coming soon "

"Sshhh can't I'm dead," he whispered.

"I love you" He replies quietly with a laugh as he helps him up anyways.

"Wow I have to say this is going a bit fast," He replied, as he stood up.

"Not really we've been doing this a whole three years, I'm pretty sure I know you well enough to say that " He replies with a shrug and a smile "Now we must move quick ! If we can get inside you can broker peace with mi mama , if she puts the foot down order will be established"

"And if we can't do that?" He asked.

"Than we go to like red lobster or something " Candy replies with an optimistic smile as he leads him across the cobblestone courtyard , past the marble fountain , up the steps and through the door. Suffice to say the interior of the house more than matches the exterior with austere yet elegant decor . However Candy moves quick leaving little time for Demetri to examine it , quickly making his way to what they call 'The Den' where his mother can be found reading the news. "Mama ,I uh..I brought someone"He says nervously.
