A cursed week

Darion minded his own business for now, he was gonna stay close to James later since he promised to help him when the next full moon comes.

(It can't be the full moon 2 days after the full moon koy)

"That bad huh?" James asked, he had tried to help the fey but his studies and books had not been in the least helpful as tfey cast magic through intinct and observing nature.

(That is why he does not stick close to James right now.)

"Yeah , my mom said I should go out and study nature more , but nature is boring ! " He replies with a frustrated look in his eye , although he jokes.

"It's not all that boring, nothing boring about a gorilla punching a lion" James reasoned

"Yeah and where am I gonna find that here in bumfuck Wyoming?" Candy replies with a raised brow "My magic was supposed to have manifested like...three years ago man"

"maybe you're just shit at it" James suggested sympathetically

"Oh I'd never have guessed that , thanks for the insight Socrates , your wisdom washes over us alike to the rays of the sun over the Aegean "He replies with a roll of his eyes "Anyways ,this isn't about me , what do you think happened to Mean Girls?"

"Could be anything, i need a closer look " James aid with a shrug "Could be another ghost, or a curse"

"My spider sense is telling me it's probably something along the lines of the latter" Candy replies.

"What do you think Essy?" James asked Esther

"Don't call me that."

"Why not Essy?" Candy replies with a mischievous grin.

"It's not my name," She said, shooting him a glare.

"You hang out with us now, you get a nickname" James grinns "How's casper then?"

"Maybe I won't hang out with you then," She replied.

"D'aww come on Essy" James said to her "Embrace it"

"No," she replied, a stubborn set to her jaw.

"Hey! You got me beaten to a pulp and literally hung from a tree! You're gonna let me have this !" Candy replies , in a strange instance of holding a grudge , something James has never even seen before.

She glanced to him, a hint of regret in her eyes but it was washed away by frustration. "No."

"Yes , yes you are, I'm gonna call you Essy until the day you...well I guess undie , and you're not gonna do a thing about it" He replies firmly , arms crossed.

"I mean you can't exactly never see us, you work for my family" James pointed out "Come on let's be buds"

"Only if you call me by my name," She said.

James sighed at her stuborness "Esther it is then"

"But you got a grandma name dude" He replies "I mean at least I sound like a stripper , you just sound like someone's nanna"
