A cursed week

It had been a couple days since Esther had returned from the dead to seek her extremely petty vengeance upon those she had been at odds with in life, among the worst of those who had bullied her in life had been one of the popular and quite pretty girls Christina Winters who had been personally responsible for embarrassing Esther whenever she tried to make any friends since childhood, and she was certain to be on Esther’s list. However Christine seemed a bit off that Wednesday, very nervous, and very, dizzy… Christina was very shaky when she excused herself from second period English that day and staggered to the girl’s bathroom; it was empty at this time of day, she leaned and the sink, turning on the faucet and taking deep breaths wo try and calm down, after a minute of this her hands stopped shaking and she splashed cold water on her face to help regain the rest of her composure then she stopped suddenly… she could see… something in the corner of the mirror, at first she couldn’t make it out but if she looked closer... So it was that in the middle of the second class of the day a high pitched scream came from the girl’s restroom, loud enough for all the school to hear. James who had been sleeping through English, a class which he frustratingly always had an A in despite never paying attention awoke at the sound of the deafening scream. Teachers from nearby classrooms rushed to check on the source, they found Christina on the ground foaming at the mouth and bleeding from her eyes.

Nicolas heard the scream also, who wouldn't have? He wondered what was going on but the teachers had it handled?

Candy is quick to run after him , and manages to overtake him to the bathroom "Holy shit! Holy shit! Is she alive!" He exclaims and rushes to check her pulse.

However Candy was caught by some teachers who kept him well away from the while the school nursewent in to try to keep her alive til an ambulance arrived

"Esther can you stop tying my shoelaces together and go sneak in and look with your ghost powers?" James whipered to the ghost who thought she was being sneaky

Esther was already gone after having successfully tied his shoes together. She phased through the bathroom walls, and froze upon spotting the girl. Esther didn't like her, but she wouldn't have wished this on her. She hovered around the edge of the bathroom, eyes glued on the girl and the nurse trying to treat her.

James untied his shoes, she'd need to do better than that he waited to know what happened


It wasn't long before the girl still alive was carted out to an ambulance on a stretcher

Darion wondered what could have happened, surely the rest of the school day got cancelled for the investigation...

Esther followed them out.

Games shot her a questioning look as she floated by

She shrugged at him.

Clas was then cancelled along with the rest of school when James got out he had a bunch of questions for her such a "Who was it, and how bad were they hurt?"

She gave him all the details she had seen.

"Wasn't she your bully?" James asked awkwardly after a moment of silence, she could probably see what he was really asking

"It wasn't me," She said, harsher than she intended.

"Alright I believe you" he said meeting her eyes "In that case we need to sneak in and see her"

Surprised he believed her that quick, her eyes darted to meet his. She broke eye contact again. She wasn't very good at it generally. "But yes... she was." To answer his last statement, she said "I guess."

"I'm curious to see if it's magic behind it" James explained with a mischievous grin, he had fun breaking in to places. He took out his phone and texted Candy "Want to help me sneak into the hospital tonight?"

"Shit yeah! The ranch is soooo boring " He replies.

"Candy is coming too" James informed esther and text "Is midnight good for you?"

She responded with a short laugh.

" Yeah yeah sure , btw I'm on your shoulder" He texts back.

James brushes him off "That's just weird dude"

"So anything new then?" He retorts.

"Well how's your magic?" James asked him

" Uh....it exists" He replies , embarassed by his lack of skill with his natural gift.
