A Friendly Greeting

Celeste, after about a month of keeping 2 of Duchess' kittens was about exhausted as ever so she went to relax with a walk through the woods. She knew it probably wasn't wise to do since hunters were cracking down on supernaturals more than ever before, but she couldn't just go to the library today, it was closed every this day of the week. So she walked into the woods, keeping a watch on the dark clouds above and cursing herself for not bringing an umbrella.

Lucian was walking through the woods looking for alchemy ingredients

Celeste didn't notice and as the ran came pouring down ran right into the boy without knowing, she wanted to find cover.

"Whoa!" lucian exclaimed as something knocked him over while he was gathering plants

Celeste grunted as she landed on her back. She sat up, rubbing her back. "Sorry about that, I didn't see you, I was running for cover from the rain." she apologized awkwardly.

"Oh no worries" Lucian scrambled to his feet and offeredher a hand to get up with a friendly smile

Celeste took his hand and slowly stood up. She was about his age, maybe younger. She looked down at her clothes which were soaking wet.

"Hi i'm lucian" Lucian said with a slight blush "I have a place around here if you're looking for somewhere dry til the storm passes" he offered

Celeste smiled faintly. "I'm Celeste. Nice to meet you." she said and then gasped. "Oh no!" she said, looking at a book on the ground. She quickly picked it up and checked to see if it wasn't all that wet.

Lucian murmured a spell to dry the book under his breath, poorly covering it with a cough

Celeste took notice and glanced towards him. "Don't worry, I'm a witch." she said, pulling out a wand.

"Oh cool" lucian said smiling but also blushing a bit more "Need help heeping your book dry?" he asked her

Celeste shook her head and hid the book under her cloak. "Lets hurry and get out of the rain." she said.

"I have a place just this way" Lucian headed deeper into the forest

Celeste slowly followed after him, flinching as she saw a lightning bolt flash behind them and they both hear the thunderclap.

Soon they arrive at lucian's home, a stone medieval peasant style house with a wood and thatch roof.

Celeste by then was shivering because her clothes were wet.

Lucian got the door for her quickly and cast a drying spell on her when they headed inside.

Celeste stopped shivering. "Sorry for being a possible unwanted house guest." she apologized.

"Nah it's alright" Lucian assured her in his his southern accent. The walls and the roof of the hous looked just as primitive inside  there was a little book shelf, a round table with two chairs, a normal looking kitchen and... an alchemy lab, and and shelves of arcane looking artifacts and a broom that was levitating itself to sweep the floor, fortunately there was also a TV and a fireplace.

Celeste slowly walked in and set her book down on the table. She opened it to see if any pages were wet.

Thanks to Lucian's spell the book was good as new, he went into the kitchen asking "Do you want anything to eat or dr..." he was cut off as a wendigo smashed through the door to his house, Lucian would like to say he did something cool and fought it of singlehandedly in front of the pretty lady... what actually happened was jumped in surprise and slipped landing on his ass. As he scrambled to get out his wand the creature charged him with lightning speed.

Celeste rushed in front of the wendigo's path and a bright light flashed for a second as she made a shield in front of her, her posture looked strong.

the wendigo ran head first into her shield, there was a loud bang as it collided with the barrier and fell back looking a bit stunned

Celeste let the shield fade away before her hand glowed white and the wendigo rose about 2 feet in the air. She glared angrily and made a hand motion with her glowing hand, making the wendigo fly straight into the wall to her left hard enough to probably knock the wind out of it or make it knocked out.
