The Enhancing

After the demon invasion disaster, notes were posted in hunter headquarters as they need volunteering hunters for the enhanced hunter program as a few of them died during the demon attack. Hunters could send an application to the leaders of this project to apply to the treatment and become new enhanced hunters, when an applicant is approved they get a message with an address to a secret hunter facility where they will be treated.

Mat and andrea sat filling out applications in chairs next to each other, both were already gifted and athletic hunters who made an excellent team so Matt didn't doubt they would be accepted.... then again they were pretty green even though they had seen a lot of action they were young, especially matt "What do you think the treatment will be?" Matthew asked Andrea as they filled it out

"No idea. I just hope it won't be needles," She said, with a visible shudder. God, she hated those things.

"Why not?" Matt asked as she hadn't shared that fear with him. "Are you scared?" He asked with a slight grin

"Shut up," She cast a half-hearted glare his way. "I am not scared, I'm just... not a big fan of them."

"Oh I think you are" Matthew said to her with a grin. "Big tough andrea is scared of needles." He chuckled before he got up walked over turned in the papers to the station leader

She tripped him up.

Matt did a neat combat roll to his feet to recover looking cool

She rolled her eyes, before going to hand in her own application.

There was a work desk occupied by a paper worker of the hunters, hunters that are badly injured and can't hunt anymore usually get this job. They would only need to place the application paper on a nice box at the desk.

Matt placed his in the box

Andrea did this also.

Noe they would have to wait for a message for an application approval, in the evening.

Matt would go home for the time being since work was over

Andrea just went to the gym.

Matt had a gym in his apartment complex where he worked out he stopped there for a few hours

As the sun started to set, a letter would pop down their mailboxes. The letter was signed by the Supernatural Hunter's Organization's lead scientist.

Matt would be home by then doing pullups and pushups and read it when it arived

The letter's contents were as written: "Greetings young applicant! You have been chosen to be among those to rise to glory as a enhanced hunter. Come tomorrow to the edge of town, address as Grasslane 52. Show this invitation to the door guard and he will let you in, then we can make the needed enhancements to your body. I hope you are as thrilled as I am..." The letter was clear, Matthew and Andrea have been chosen.

"Syl" Matthew called for his roommate

Sylvia came over after putting a book down, she wondered what Matthew the hunter had now in mind.

"I may be gone for a bit, I don't know how long, but it could be a few days" He took out his wallet and handed her a few hundred dollars "Take care of jinx and keep yourself fed while i'm ok?"

Sylvia nodded and spoke. "Okay... But why so sudden? Where are you even going?" She questioned from him wondering.

"Physical enhancements, i'm being made into a super soldier" Matthew explained to her

Sylvia nodded and spoke more. "Oh... Okay... Well, good luck then... I hope it won't be painful..." She said as she put the money into her wallet for safe keeping until she would need to get food.
