Going Out for a While

When Cassandra sees the castle but they were kinda in a hurry so... "What should we do? We can't make them just ioen the gates and have all those things get in." She said since opening and closing an entire castle gate took some time.

Lu stands on top of the castle ramparts watching as the little scouting team returns to the castle, they'll need a way in but the gate will take too long, or will it? Quickly Lu runs off to find that little group of mages, ideas flashing through his head.

The door swigs open immediately because w'eve already established lucian can open and close it instantly because of the spirits

Joshua takes out his wand and casts a combustion spell on the last pursuing car's gas tank

Cassandra speeds inside and parks the van appropriately.

"Well okay then " Lu says a bit dissapointed and sits back down.

at Lucian's command the gates close once more

"Do we have a T.V around here, or maybe like some pinball machines, or something?" Lu inquires to the air ,desperate to cure his growing boredom.

"No, but we did get a crap ton  of fast food, and blankets" Joshua the human said as he began unloading of of the things they had in the the van "Coats too, since winter is coming"

Cassandra exited the vehicle and helped Joshua to unload some of the stuff, distributing it to the supernaturals equally.

Acheron slipped into the castle in his shadow form, he had been scouting the city and now it was time to come back. "Hey all, the situation looks pretty bad out there... I did however help some humans get out of the city without being noticed, I was also trying to find Matthew but with zero luck..." Acheron said honestly, but apparently Matthew was not in Chicago at the moment...

"Matthew?" Joshua was unaware of who this matthew was or why they were looking for him "Who's he? Could he help us?" he asked anyone

Acheron looked at Joshua, he the spoke. "He is a friend of mine, an angel ex-human. He is one of the toughest ones I have ever seen, with his help I was certain this problem would be sorted out quickly but... I can't find him anywhere since he left due to unfortunate happenings..." Acheron explained as went to lean on a wall to think for another trump card.

It occurred to Acheron that he had not seen crow, the rather mysterious ghoul lately.

"Sounds like he'd be good to have around" Joshua said with a nod

Acheron looked at all the folk here, seems about right but something was still missing. That weird mage dude? That lives here, he hasn't seen him ever since they escaped from the inn. Acheron wonders where he might be, so he goes to look for him to keep some form of count.

Said weird mage dude is on the castle's top floor carving intricate runes into the floor

Acheron spies on his doings, but guess he can count him as still being in here. But Acheron stays to stare what on earth is the guy doing.

"What is it demon?" Crow asked without turning around to look at acheron

Acheron raised an eyebrow at that, he noticed him? But how? Guess he can sense auras, since he did not even look in his direction. "Well, I was just wondering what are you doing? I don't think it is time to do that sort of tinkering when the entire city is in chaos, if you didn't notice..." Acheron said bluntly to him.

"Is there  something more productive i could be doing, as opposed to building us a gate to my home in the mountains?" Crow asked the demon with only a hint of annoyance

Acheron spoke more. "Dunno why that is so important, you should be thinking of a way to fix this with us..." Acheron said to him simply.

"It's important because it gives us  a way out, to find out what's going on beyond this city, It''s clear no one is stopping this, and the army has likely tried by now. As for our little band going up against the staff, that's suicide. Even if we stopped it, it isn't that simple..." Crow said to him "but if we have  a passage into the mountains, we can send people to find out what's going on, and formulate a real plan that takes the big picture into account"

Acheron shrugged and spoke. "Right... Fine, fine... You do your thing then... There is food downstairs though, if you were interested but I guess you are too caught up in that work so i will leave it be. See you later..." Acheron said as started walking away back to the others.

Crow let the demon leave. Crow did not fear Khem and his undead legions, he did not fear the staff either. What he feared was the human retaliation for this attack, by khem, they would not take a city's destruction lightly.

Khem had taken the Arcane Lodge and was using it as his living place now, sitting on his throne made of bones all smug like. He did not care about the vermin hiding in the castle, sooner or later they had to come out. In the mean time Khem was organizing his forces for a battle plan to take other areas and cities to put under his rule, there was no one who could stop him after all.

Acheron returned back to the main group, to enjoy some food and socializing.

Lu starts searching for Koyu,last he had seen his favorite vampire had been skulking around somewhere brooding about their shitty situation.

Koyu was not with the main group, he was staying as far away from the others as possible as he was not that social.
