Knock Knock

"Ok give me half an hour" James said with a grin

"So...I guess I lost my virginity before you huh?" He questions with a grin.

And he was off on his broom slipping on an invisibiliy ring; way too excited about this to give a single rats ass until his work was done.... About twenty minutes later Dim's mom would receive a call from what seemed to be James's aunt about an old vampiric item she may be interested in; one that would give her a leg up on the other families in town and earn her some respect. She was  told to take a car so as not to draw attention and come to her shop.

She does that stuff.

As she is crossing a lake bridge on her way there she seems to hit something slick on which the car slides, then her her tire blows out; causing the car to flip off the bridge.

Well poo.

"You have like 30 minutes tops go go go!" James texts Candy watching invisibly from the sidewalk

Candy sprouts his wings and with that jets towards Demetri's neighborhood , scanning from high for the vampire.

He'd find D not in the neighbourhood, but in a nearby park. He was sitting on a bench, a bottle of something strong in one hand and a cigarette in the other just to be extra self destructive. In his mind, however, he deserved it. He replayed all the events in his head over and over again, imagining all the other things he could have done to save Candy so he wasn't forced to save himself. Imagined himself not looking away like a coward to avoid watching him die. He took a long drag of the cigarette, holding his breath momentarily before slowly loosing the rancid smoke and watching it swirl away in the wind.

A bug flies through the smoke and audibly coughs "Hey pendejo! Stop smoking!" It yells.

"... Candy?"

"You know it" He replies as he flash grows right into his lap "You okay?"

"I'm not the one who nearly died," He replied, voice only slightly slurred from the drink. "I thought you didn't want to see me."

"Of course I want to see you dumbass , I love you , and I'm worried for you...did she do anything to you or did you just run?" He asks worry in his eye.

James meanwhile was headed somewhere safe, he wanted to be way out of the area before this person breaks loose

"Ran of course, what else am I good for," He mumbled, taking a swig of the drink.

Candy stops the hand before the swig can reach him , grabs the bottle and flings it off to the other end of the park . "Look...I'll be honest I'm...I'm pissed off , a little , that you wouldn't consider apologizing even if it meant my life but...but that's not important right now" He states with crossed arms as he swallows his anger "What's important is that you come with me before your mom breaks from the trap Jimmy Johns set for her"

Demetri just sort of slow blinked after his bottle. "...I wasn't finished with that."

"Get the fuck up!" Is the immediate reply.

"Wow wow wow, wait," He said, raising a hand, and was about to continue before he took a drag from the cigarette. Once he had finished that, then he finished. "Who's doing what to my mum?"

Candy abruptly grabs the cigarrete and crushes it in his hand "No time to explain dummy , get the fuck up!"

"Candy..." he said with such disappointment in his voice to make a kitten cry. "I need those to live."

Candy rolls his eyes profusely and with a small frown begins to roll the sleeve of his maroon long sleeve shirt back "Didn't want to have to do this "He mutters.

"Do what?" D asked, watching him lazily.

And then Candy smacks the taste out of his mouth "Can we go?"
