Saturday Night

"Matt is right we need to get back to work, we have to find a way out of here , since I'm assuming we're all like...in a magic coma and haven't been sucked into a parallel universe" Then taking a while to reflect on the words that just came out of her mouth she comments "...I find it concerning that I just had to say that, when did my life get so weird?" She muses aloud with a laugh "Alright aside from the resident geezer's existential crisis the map's saying we head through these woods and find the ancient staircase so, I'm guessing these are the woods?" Chris theorizes as he holds the old yellowed paper up for all to see , the strange thing about it is that most of it is completely blank "...It was worth the money."

"What do you bet the blank part has some sort of magical invisible clues or something?" Matt asked

"Nothing , I bet it's like Skyrim where the map fills out as you go around" Chris counters with confidence as he ducks under a tree branch and with little caution disappears into the thick purple  leaves and bushes.

"That's fair" he said

"Not as fair as me" Chris replies vainly as he walks , posing along the way , not even noticing as he walks straight into a massive sinkhole , letting out a small yelp of surprise as he plummets.

"Idiot..."Matt said as he watched this and rolled his eyes and called "You ok down there?"

Both Dev and Leo went to try and catch him but eneed up running into each other.

Without hesitation Dawn cracks her knuckles and leaps down after him "Look out beloooooooooooooooooohhhhh Shit this is really deeeeeep!!!'

Matt sighed and jumped in after them

Leo and dev followed once they had recovered

"Okay guys! We have to make sure we do an epic hero landing okay?! Because this is very obviously a boss fight !" Chris yells as they plummet through the tunnel , the seemingly infinite abyss illuminated only by patches of green crackling crystals.

Matt lines it up so he will land safely on someone else

"Matt...I'm gonna shove a brick of soap up your ass while you sleep." Dawn grumbles ,as she lies face first in the dirt , Matt sitting safely atop her back.

Dev swiftly falls on top of Matt while Leo lands on no one.

Matt rolls out off the way so they also landded on dawn, situational awareness is a thing

Chris grins as he tucks and rolls like a pro , executing the badass hero landing , only to see the state of all of the others " You're all abject failures."

Matt is bussy laughing at the others

"Shut your gob" Dev said.

Dawn calmly rolls out from under Dev , stands up promptly smacks Matt in the back of the head with her leather glove, the sound echoing around through the red-rocked tunnel surrounding them , several skull torches bursting to life as though activated by the sound.

"Alright same tactics as before?" Matt asked taking cover behind dawn

"What are you thinking? One of us died last time with that method, we need to be more versatile" Dawn responds , raising her shield as suddenly a few dozen humanoid rat creatures begin crawling out of the walls.

"Right... probably should have planned this first" he said

"Couldn't have MattCatt , the map was vague and didn't tell us what to expect " Chris reassures him as he draws his sword . "So uh when I leveled up , I got a basic skill called 'Furious challenge' and I think it can help us out here" Dawn explains quickly "Basically once activated , the eight enemies closest to me have to attack me and no one else , or else I get a free devastating counter, I think we can use it to take these out quick if you guys just bait them for me."

"Ok let's you and criss do crowd control, I hear he's quite the baiter" Matt joked "We know there's going to be a boss soon so when it shows up Leo, you have good damage and more health than most of us so you take the boss from the front, dev go at it from the rear i'll provide support with my magic since i've got a healing spell now... everybody good with that?" he asked adding to hishis fireball the ability to set enemies and terain on fire as his skillpoint

Chris nods quickly using his skill point to learn a move called 'Fencer's Dance' allowing him to unleash a powerful spinning barrage after successfully landing four hits on an opponent in a row. And then equipping his new dual blades with a confident before taking his position next to Dawn. Of course since enemies don't wait for their prey to formulate plans the swarm of rat men are already charging towards them.
