Resummoning This douchebag

"There, there" Fri said with a grin and patted him on the head jokingly

Arath is just outside letting Eph cool down on the inside.

Eph just growls and dodges each of her pats , and continues pacing around .

Arath returns inside, he sits down on a chair and does nothing, he just waits for time to advance.

"Soo...you gonna tell me where the journal is?" Eph questions.

Arath looks at Eph and speaks. "If that is your wish.... We need to head to some mundane settlement in the north, there is an old library and my journal is hidden behind some books." Arath told him, he had hid it last time he was here.

Eph nods and materializes some winter clothes since up north is normally rather chilly "Cool , we'll be heading out soon, I want to get this whole ordeal over with "

Arath does not understand what hurry Eph was having, he was willing to follow since only he had knowledge which section and what shelf.

Eph just doesn't want to have to be around Arath for much longer is all.

As they headed to the north to get to the small town Arath tried to have a discussion. "Ephraiem, you seem to be in a bad mood... You act so much differently around me than when we first met... Do you... hate me?" Arath asked while in his make human disguise.

"You nearly killed me for trying to make out with you...put simply , yes" He replies frankly as he adjusts himself a bit n his horse.

Arath murmured a little to himself, he then spoke. "I already apologized about that... I lost my temper and I shouldn't have... But I guess you have the right to be angry at me for that..." Arath decided to zip it for now, since Eph did not like him and once this was over Arath will go find someone else to be his partner in achieving mutual goals.

"Yes , yes I do" He replies with a frown.

Arath stays quiet the rest of the trip, it took some time but they arrived at the town and air was a bit more chilling here than where they started. Arath would head to the local library.

Eph follows , having calmed down substantially.

Arath goes to one of the sections and stops in front of one big shelf filled with books. He moves a few books out of the way and extends his arm further in, he then pulls out a very dusty journal with a red cover on it. He then places the books back and offers his journal to Eph.

Eph just looks the book over and flips through a pages "Fri, can you verify that this is an actual demonic tome?"

Arath speaks. "Hey, it was written by me, so it is... See how nice my hand writing is?" Arath said as he waited for them to be done.

Fri took a look to judge its authanticity

By all means it looked like a normal journal, it has a few demonic symbols here and there but mostly everything is written by hand. It contains the information of Arath's previous summoners, their relationship to one another, Arath's thoughts on situations, the summoner's research and magic. Every chapter ends with a detailed description how the summoner died, in fact everything was pretty detailed.

"Well that's depressing" Eph murmurs as he leafs through the tome lightly.

Arath just waited, some of the things written about rituals and stuff can be dangerous but that was not Arath's concern if Eph went to try a few out and get himself killed.

"It looks pretty authentic" Fri said

Eph has no plans on doing that, he quickly leafs through the book and stuffs it in his knapsack "So , it seems we're done here lizard man"

Arath speaks in protest. "I am not a lizard man! Stop saying that I am, just because I have scales and stuff... Ugh, fine! I hope you are happy now, I am gonna go and score with some other mage!" Arath said as he ran out from the library leaving Eph and Fri together.
