Amos was disappointed that there was no treasure in this temple, not even a dime. "Okay crew, did you get anything interesting? And we probably should eat too at some point..." Amos mentioned as he looked over his crew.

Amos's bobyguard chuckles "I think we're just in the ruins right now , after all the monkey boy said he saw some large tures in the distance"

He would notice rookwood was gone as he had followed

The creature continues scurrying over creek and under brush until it leads Took to a cave .

Rookwood's curiosity gets the better of him and he lights the tip of his wand shining the light inside

At the touch of light the inside of the cave begins to glow blue , heiroglyhs snaking their way across the walls.

Rookwood stepped in to take a look

He hears a voice speaking down the hallway.

Rookwood aimed his wand toward the voice

The voice seems to be echoing up the long cave , it's an old man's voice singing some type of song.

Rookwood continued, filled with wonder but also wishing the narrator would get to the point

Rookwood eventually reaches the end of the hall wherein there is a old man g around with the creature from before . The man is ancient and covered with turquoise geometric tattoos on his chest , arms and torso , his eyes are the milky white of a blind man's , and he clutches a gnarled old staff tightly. A cloak of bright green and blue feathers drape over his shoulders , and his wrists and ankles are n with gold , over his head is a hood made of a jaguars skin . As he hears Rookwood enter his head turns to the entrance "Ximicatlan?" That must be some sort of word for hello.

"Hello" Rookwood said when the bling man came into view, great he had found the secret of the cave and it can't even talk right. Still his experiences with locals up to this point had been less than pleasant so he kept his wand at hand, where there was a single blind man there was usually a caretaker.

The old blind man hops up in a surprisingly nimble fashion , the rings in his staff shaking as he does so slowly he paces towards Rookwood ,great , a visitor finally comes around and he can't even talk right.

Rookwood takes out a rock that is flowing blue and offers it to the old man, theis not being able to communicate thing will not do at all

The old man simply puts a finger to Rook's head and he feels a flow of information entering his mind.

Rookwood was about to do that with the stone and so was a bit annoyed at having his whole thing taken

The old man just chuckles " I have not gotten visitors in a while , who re you?"

"Doctor James Rookwood" Doctor James Rookwood said very wary of this man from the experience he had with natives so far

"Hmmn , doctor , I have not heard of this term before , Is it similar to a shaman?" He asks intrigued .

"No It isn't, it's an educated individual who deals in facts and rational theory, no foolish folk wisdom, who are you?" Rookwood wondered at the man

" I don't have to tell you , you can't just barge into my house and start asking questions" He replies and promptly walks off to go make some lemonade for himself.

"I can after you've finger banged me in the brain" Rookwood countered and followed him, there was one question he really needed answered

"Fine , I'm Xabalanque , a shaman" He says the last part with a slight scowls at Rookwood.

"A tribal mage? I figured, I'm a wizard myself" Rookwood cautiously put his wand away
