No Man's Land

Chris's eyes widen "She....she's dead isn't she?" he asks quietly .

She looked back to him. Well, before she gazed down at her feet. "Sorry." Was all she said, in a quiet mumble.

Chris puts a hand on her shoulder "Don't , it's not your fault...this was a stupid idea on all fronts...she had just gotten out of the hospital...we should have left her"

Matthew had blocked them out and was shooting, and slashing vampires

Chris glares at the body, his blood beginning to boil as he looks on it.......dammit...dammit...dammit!

She looked up at him, forcing a smile on her face. Unfortunately, it was a very believable one. "Let's go avenge our friend."

Chris nods a grimace on his face "You can take off the fake smile"

A frown flickered over her face. He... He saw through her? Has he always been able to? So many questions bombarded her tongue, but she held back. Now was not the time.

He nods "Your right ,it's really not" He replies and picks up a nearby sub-machine gun "Dev ,get her body out of here "

"But she's covered in blood," She said. Such close proximity, Devi didn't want her thirst to control her.

"I would hope you have self control but fine I'll do it" He replies a he picks up Vi's body.

"Shut up," She muttered.

Chris pats her on the back "It's fin , I get it" He replies nodding and walks off.

Matthew pushes upstairs dual wielding MP5's

The others are already upstairs but seem to be battling several giant bat monsters, one of which charges straight for mat with a shriek.

Mathew shoots it in the face full auto

The beast falls but slides into him slamming him out of the window and sending the two hurtling out into the air towards the street below . That's when he sees it, the rain...it's red ..all of it, blood pouring from the sky...they've already won. They probably weren't in the tower to begin with, this was all a ruse .

Matthew decided he was gonna kill as many as possible,, and he'd deal with the big picture later so he kept fighting, one killed now is one who won't be a pain in the ass later

From on the street he sees one standing on top of the skyscraper, arms out to his sides as he looks down on the city . You can't hear it from down on the street but you can see his mouth moving with your angelic sight, he's laughing, raucously in fact.

matthew really wished he could teleport right now
