Bronze age of the gods

This will start out in the world we made in the god roleplay, after several thousand years of development of the primitive people. This will be the world from a mortal perspective. Now we will need to post on how our civilizations have progressed in our first posts, but first the CC.

Appearance: Lizard-like, dark blue scales, yellow eyes, he wears a fancy hat made from bird feathers, a few bracelets with round colorful rocks tied together and a gray fur loincloth that covers his lower body, he has some visible muscles on him and a long scar on his back.
Background: He was always the curious one, always wandered outside their settlement to see what was in the jungle that he almost got eaten by a predator but that never quenched his curiosity. Ereskai as he grew up learnt how to hunt and fight the beats in the wild, so he can adventure through it with no problems. He now wanted to know what was outside the jungle, so he embarked on a lonely journey to see the world, all others thinking he was a fool.

Background: The rightful queen of Palmoris , one of the many Waq'di tribal kingdoms. After her parents were killed in a coup she was forced out of the palace , and now she wishes to gather an army and take back her rightful throne.

Background: The son of a deposed sorcerer king whose father was destroyed by a rival sorcerer. He was trained to be a powerful sorcerer from childhood and provided with all the luxury one could imagine. But the polotics of the magi are dangerous and his father was killed by a sorcerous rival, and he had to escape into exile  to avoid be killed, he is traveling as far away from his father's former kingdom, and from the people hunting him.

Background: The sworn Medras guard of Esmeralda , bound to guard her at all times until either her death or his by the oath of the Great Lion. He however is a member of the Maured tribe from the Great Desert , not a Polamr like his charge.

Background: The captain of a successful shipping company , he ships Waq'di high value luxury products around the coasts at incredibly unfair prices.

Since the begining of the magi race its culture had centered around magic, even as tribes began to spread out and break apart sorcery reamined the focus of all tribes, for it was the vital and essential tool that was the only tool a magi would ever need. In the begining their spells wer limited, fire starting and a magic bolt akin to a sling for hunting was the extent of their power, but it wasn't too long until they realized they could expand and learn more uses for their gift by studying magic as a narutral force. So it was that magic expanded, those who amased the most power in magic were clearly the most intelligent and therefore were rarely questioned and became the leaders of tribes. Over the next several thousand years they advanced adressing their needs more efficiantly than most races, as magic reduced the needs they had to focus on, by studying the natural world for their magic the concept of agriculture became clear to them, because of the dangerous natural predators they built walls of stone, from their they could attend to their wants, their needs having been made easy to attend to. Papyrus was the first luxury to be invented and spread to all tribes as it allowed them to record magic spells so that one would not need to study nature as much to learn them. Fortresses were built around libraries attended to by the greatest sorcerer of the tribe, eventually the fortesses became cities and the librarians became kings. More luxuries followed as their culture had no need of must tools, instead having invented things like silk, foods, drink, and achetectural marvels. Even the life of a commoner was quite well off, and the highands they lived in were still mostly empty as the Maj's expansion was slow.

The life of a sorcerer king is among the most luxurious in the world, but it is also treacherous and demanding, one must always stay sharp, one must always remain the tribe's best or die, Sephir's father had forgotten this, and that was why the former prince was traveling through the highland countryside along the shore of the western beaches of of the world, power walking away from a home that had long since vanished on the horizon, Sephir knew however that he was still being hunted. He would not be free of pursuers while in lands known to the Magi.

The desert, the other races do not understand it, they believe it a graveyard , but the Waq'di are wise , they know it's true purpose...it is a crucible. Where the soul of every man ,woman,and child is tested , forged into something strong and firm , or shattered and tossed to the ground . From the beginning their race knew this , they were born in the lush mountain valley to the north of their isle , the isle known as Myrkuda . It was a paradise , abundant fruit and creatures to hunt , few predators and plentiful rain. Yet their populace grew and eventually they were forced to turn to the Great Desert, the ocean of sand. They knew then what their god , the Great Lion had planned for them. They could stay here and try to live out their days in safety , but eventually they would be too many and the valley would be turned to desert by their foraging. So they split , that was how the first tribe , became two.And so the second tribe set out into the desert , many died , be it of hunger , thirst , or tribal squabbles , yet they survived. They learned the ways of the sand as they did the ways of the jungle , how it gave life....and how it could take it. The desert is a fickle place ,yet fair , and it never forgets. Those who pay it tribute , bring life to it's expanses , are rewarded...and those who spill innocent blood , destroyed. So said the scriptures brought down from the stars.

Soon the oasis became too crowded , the rivers to drained by farming , and so once again the tribes new what they must do. The young ones , the next generation were sent out across the scorching sands once more , and they found the savanna , A great plain full of dangers , yet also a land of opportunity. The tribes split again and again , the cycle continued , now there are thirteen and the waq'di spread their dominion as far as the circuit of the sun! Each tribe follows the laws of the seasons , a great edict sent out by the Great Lion's prophets declaring the two seasons. One of peace , where the waq'di spread their culture , explore and trade, and one of conquest , where they take over the lands and spread their dominion. Both of these spirits define the great tribes , in the days of peace they innovate , ever on the forefront of invention , be it the bow , the plow , or mighty sand skiffs. And in times of war they create new ways to defeat their foes , for they are not as quick as the Lizards , as strong as the wraiths , or as sage as the Magi. They are a people of adaption , the desert taught them this, and like the desert...they do not forget.

And neither will Esmerelda , her family was slaughtered , her lands taken , assassins were sent after her , yet her wits and the strength of her bodyguard have kept her alive , yet she still has some of her wealth. She plans to build a great force and charge back across the strait of Odaeus , to take back her kingdom once and for all!

Sepheir shifted the heavy knapsack on his shoulders as he trudged on, he had been fortunate to have recieved word of his father's demise before their enemy had reached the city, he had fled with some essential items and a couple scrolls containing powerful spells that would one day help him retake his homeland. Eventually he had a sit near one of the rocky cliffs overlooking the beach, he needed to rest and have a drink of water, he had been walking for a long time, he could not spur himself forward without a sit. He had seat on a rock that wasn't too high, overlooking the beach and took out his water skin.

A ship floats out over the waves ,it is small , and of Tisabat design , slowly it beaches itself and three people exit , one a woman , a waq'di by the look of it , tall with hawk like stern eyes , using a spear for a walking stick. Behind her a man , large with darker skin , face covered in red war paint . Then lastly a lizard man , light blue and short , yet covered in finery.

Sephir had not seen a Waq'di, but let it suffice to see they especially the woman had his full attention, there was no creature so beautiful in his homeland, they looked a bit like his people but their bodies were hones and beautifl like nothing the Magi had ever seen, indeed his people had due to their slow expansion, not had any consistant contact with other races, indeed the Magi may be seen as but a myth to most people, the lizard was interesting too, but not nearly as attractive

They converse in the common tongue for a bit as the large man begins leading a strange creature with four hoofed legs and black fur off of the ship , then another with red fur and a black mane. They are garbed in strange clothes , Esmerelda in a white dress , with a sword hanging from her belt and a circlet of gold crowned with a lion's head on her brow. A blue cloak hangs over her shoulders , brooched a gold serpent , the sign of her clan. Then most surprisingly she climbs atop the strange beast , it bucks a bit but she quickly calms it with soothing words. Meanwhile the man does the same to his own beast whilst the lizard man simply stretches a bit .

As a studier of the natural world and part of a society with advance agriculture, Sephir was familiar with the concept of domestication. He waved at the new comers cassually but did not stand up or make any suden moves.

The lizard man is the catch his movement and waves back , gesturing to the others and explaining in the same language what he believes Sephir to be. The woman raises a brow as she looks over the magi with interest , with little hesitation she calls out to him in a tongue Sephir could not possibly know. Asking him what manner of creature he is . The large man however tenses , hand going to a quiver of what appear to be sticks on his saddlebag,

"I don't believe I know youyour tongue" He replied, hopefully his foriegn language would clue her in that he could not understand her, but he slowly pointed to himself and introduced himself "Sephir"

Esmerelda has heard tales of peoples far to the north , who are pale and thin , the "You are....Mag-Magee?" She replies using the foreign pronunciation which kind of butchers the word a bit,

"Magi" He said motioning to himself as he did, then gve her a questioning look and pointed at her as he tilted his head curiously, using visiual communication to ask who and what she was

"Esmerelda , Waq'di " She replies with a intrigued smirk as she begins trotting her horse towards him , the man following closely with a suspicious expression on his face. She then points to the dark skinned man "Taharqa , Maured Waq'di" She then points to Quetzal "Quetzal , Tisabat."

Sephir waved to them all, not showing any signs of hostility as he put away his waterskin

Slowly the lizard speaks up in some broken magi speech "Good evening , We're t-trying to set up camp for the night before we continue our....our...our voyage..voyage is the word yes?"

"I hope so" The magi replied, he had seen one of the lizard's before but only once, he knew they were traders but did not speak the language "You shouldn't camp here." he motioned to a pawprint something like a larger wolf's and said "Dariqoka"

Esmerelda simply chuckles and murmurs some words to the lizard which he repeats " Do not worry of us friend magi , my client believes we'll be fine , she has hunted such creatures for sport"

He quickly shook his head at that and simply said "It is not a fured beast, if she has not been to these lands she has not met one. Tell her she needs to get somewhere out of the open before dark"
