It was late morning when keely's cabin in the woods received a knock on the door

Eyes blinked briefly out through the gap in the boarded up windows. They disappeared and the door remained closed.

Lucian wearing jeans and a Tshirt is standing outside smiling in a friendly manner holding a peanut butter pie, he waves as he sees the eye cheerfully

Keely narrowed her eyes. He looked too nonchalant. She didn't trust him. But her gaze lowered to the pie he held. She disappeared again. About a minute later, the vague sound of multiple padlocks being unlocked could be heard and a meek face peered out. She was dressed in a faded grey shirt that was quite big for her and a pair of old black leggings with the knees ripped open. She had also donned fingerless gloves and a beanie, with some strands of hair peeking beneath. "... Yes?"

"Hi there, I'm Lucian I live just up the hill which makes me your neighbor, I brought you a pie to say hello!" Lucian seemed cheerful but somewhat shy

She stared at him. "Why?"

"I've never had a neighbor before but i want to be a good one and I saw this in a movie" Lucian admitted

"Peanut butter?" She asked after a moment of silence.

"Yeah I hope you aren't allergic" He said hopefully

She shook her head. What now? She guessed she had to invite him in. That's what people do right? She kicked the door open further as it got a little stiff past a certain point.

Lucian handed her the pie cheerfully

Keely set it on a table that was overflowing with old newspapers and sketches of buildings, outside and inside, and more pages filled with her strange script. She grabbed a fork from a tiny room vaguely resembling a kitchen and just started stuffing it in her face.

lucian followed her to the kitchen "SO what brings you to my neck of the woods?" He asks

She glanced to him, and spoke with her mouth full of pie, "I didn't know this was yours."

"Well not in i own it, but it is where i reside" He said

"Why do you live here?" She asked. "This is good," She added, referring to the pie. It was rather dark in her house, only thin streams of sunlight breaking through the gaps in the boards at the windows.

"To avoid the hun... I mean to get some fresh air and nature"  Lucian was the worst liar

Keely didn't even question it. She wasn't the best at picking up on lies.

Lucian's wand fell out of his pocket

"You dropped something."

"Oh yeas that's my... poking stick... that also glows..." He said as it began glowing with blue magic

"Pretty," She noted, while continuing to eat his pie.

Lucian put it back in his pocket "I'm a fan of it"

"Does it serve an actual purpose?"

"It can poke things" Lucian said and quickly admitted "I'm actually a wizard"
