Seeking Refuge

Vanessa gasped and backed away fearfully from Kari since she didn't know what she was.

(She is literally just a child)

Vanessa waved a little at Kari. "Hi there." she said.

Kari didn't reply, she just stared at the woman.

Finn nudged kari back playfully

Vanessa blinked. "Sh-should I go?" she asked Finn.

Kari responded to Finn in kind. Then she nodded at Vanessa rather rudely.

Finn shook his head at vanessa "No there's a killer out there it's best if you stay for a bit" overiding kari

Vanessa sat down in a chair.

Finn just raises an eyebrow at kari

Kari jabbed him in the ribs again.

Finn playfully jabbed her back again with a smirk

Vanessa inched towards the door.

Kari squealed and ran off.

Finn rolled his eyes as he barely nudged her

Lightning flashes and for a second  kari sees a man's face pressed against the window; the others are facing the wrong direction and when the flash dies down it is gone

Kari jumped a mile at both the lightening and what it revealed, giving a little yelp. Her head snapped towards Finn in alarm.

"What is it kari?" Finn wondered if she was still scared of lightning he had not seen the face

Vanessa looked around worriedly.

She pointed at the window. "Eyes always watching."

Vanessa blinked and looked at Finn.

Finn looked at the window but no one was there "Are you ok kar?" he wondered

Vanessa blinked. "Prolly having a nightmare." she said.

She hugged her arms around herself, hopping from foot to foot. And then she hissed at Vanessa. She knew what she had seen.
