Seeking Refuge

Vanessa had been hiding her wings from hunters and acting non-suspicious for nearly a few weeks now and she was growing desperate for a home to stay in. Some days it was different, like she had nothing to worry about, but most days she had to tread carefully. One day she stepped upon something she didn't quite expect. Blood. She gasped and backed away before following it to the site of a gruesome death. Her brown eyes widened as she saw a male lying on his stomach with 4 to 5 stab wounds in his back. He had longish dark brown hair and by his side sat a wand.

Finn was sleeping in his cabin not far away

Vanessa ran to that cabin and quickly knocked on the door frantically.

Finn was quickly looking through the peep hole to see who was outside, could be hunters after all

Vanessa looked like no hunter, she kept knocking, her eyes wide.

Finn oppened the door and asked "What seems to be the problem miss"

Vanessa was panting in fear. "There's a dead wizard on the street." she said.

(they're in the woods by the river right?)

(Ugh, by the woods, fucking hell)

Vanessa's eyes were wide. "Please let me in, I think there's hunters around and I saw a dead wizard out there." she said, she was panicked.

"That's unfortunate miss" Finn said to her "Sure come on in..."

Vanessa quickly came in. "Thank you so much. I'm sorry for rushing this." she said, panting.

"No worries fey, what are you doing out here?" the wizard asked closing the door and locking it because there is a killer on the loose

Vanessa closed her eyes. "I got no-where to go." she said.

"Well you can stay here tonight at least since there is a killer on the loose" Finn said with a smile

Vanessa sighed. "Name's Vanessa." she said.

"Finn" The wizard offered a hand to shake

Vanessa slowly shook his hand.

"So uh what do you do to survive vanessa?" Finn asked her, when he took in how attractive his guest was he began to look something like a deer in the headlights

Vanessa blinked. "Easy, I hid these." she paused, her multi-colored wings appearing. "And I also didn't act suspicious." she added in.

"No i mean to get food and stuff given you are homeless" finn clarified not knowing she was a thief who preyed on men (if i recall)

Vanessa blushed deeply. "Yeah, I'd rather not talk about that." she said.

"Oh ok" finn said "So uh... are you hungry?

His answer was quickly made as he heard her growling stomach. "Yes." she said.
