Soon Gallus was burning the dead ork pile

Marius growls "Pompous condescending snob " he growls and continues tightening the bolts .

Alicia keeps an eye on him to make sure he isn't forcing it, as she works much faster and at the same time more carefully, as an enginseer her skill is undeniable.

Gallus was soon assigned to keep watch with the eldar and sniper, he gave a cassual wave as he went to join them

Marius does his job effectively and nothing more .

Ysil nods in acknowledgement.

"Hello... I do not know your name sorry" Gallus admitted apologetically to the eldar "I'm Gallus"

Alicla lit some incense when she was finished and blessed the machine spirits

Marius rolls his eyes gloriously.

"And you do not need to know it"She replies .

"We are apart of the same unit as of now"

"Guess i'll just call you ranger then" Gallus said with shrug, he didn't really care about it "Ranger sounds pretty badass"

Several combat servitors are watching marius with empty eyes

Marius sighs and continues his work.

(nothing from the eldar? after what the sniper and galus said?)

"Ranger sounds nice yes" She replies with a nod.

Gallus knew that that the Eldar though assigned to there unit was not really part of their unit, and wouldn't be for some time at least, perhaps not ever, but he didn't mind. If anything he was surprised at how friendly the Xenos was as eldar were known to look upon humans as a lesser species "So what's the deal with the dark eldar? why are they all sadists, are they like allies of yours, and why do some of their most elite warriors wear armor without midriff protection?" Gallus wanted to make conversation to ease the boredom of lookout duty

"They are evil , and revel in the pain and death of all living things , so no ,they are not our allies"She replies , almost offended at the suggestion "They revel in sadism because the psychic residue of agony is the only thing that allows them to stave of Slaanesh from devouring them"

"Remind me never to greet one when I get the chance"

Gallup nodded as all of it made sense" ok... ok... and what about the armor? "

"The psychic energies they absorb from other's pain makes them so fast and strong they barely even need armor , so I suppose they desided they could be fashionable whilst fighting , well what counts for fashion to them" She replies calmly "They're utterly despicable creatures , yet in a way I pity them"

Gallus nodded a bit and spoke calmly "My knowledge of their people isn't exactly complete, I ran into the dark eldar with my old regiment a few years ago on this shitty jungle world. Well we came under attack by the Dark Eldar we had no idea what they were doing there we were fighting chaos marines who were kicking are ass in there own right, and the dark eldar'd come at us while we were crossing the jungle, and they'd hit and run; ya know come out of nowhere, kill a bunch of us and be gone before we could launch a substantial counter attack." Gallus grinned and chuckled. "And they were having a grand time, we'd hear laughter from the trees and couldn't tell where it was from... little did they know we were luring them into range of a nearby cadian regiment with a wyvern suppression tank. A second after they followed us into range there was nothing left of the smug bastards but thin red mist, course we lost most of our regiment too and we got split up and assigned to others."

"I see , I have only encountered one of their kind once , I was kidnapped when I was young by one of them , a slaver who was just passing through the area , his soul , I could see it for only a moment , his appearance was twisted and gnarled and at his core was nothing but grey deadness , that's why I pity them , they do not come into the world wicked , but are forced to become it" She replies with a nod.

"Who isn't wicked really in this galaxy of ours? I don't know why you're offended to be associated with them all, our kinds aren't really that much better are they? Just as willing to commit atrocities in the endless war as anyone" The former guardsmen said casually, he didn't seem overly perturbed

"Well the Tau aren't too bad " She replies with a slight chuckle "But yes I understand your point"

"Unless a population refuses to submit and they just kill everyone" Gallus added "But hey we're our own masters now, wonder if we can do some good  and not die in the process"

"Well we're pirates so I doubt it" She replies "By the way , I meant comparatively"

"So what you're saying is genocide by the tau is a comparably more pleasant experience?" Gallus asked as a half joked "Oh right we're pirates... but we also rob chaos so hey, maybe it'll balance out"

"I hope so that is why I signed up...Well minus the loot"

"Yes I would say being killed quickly or assimilated is a much better experience than slavery to the Dark Elder" She replies with a nod "At least the Tau won't make you suffer "
