Her Last Victims

Willamena had fled from Chicago City after learning the death of Delta. She feared her time would soon come and so she retreated to an area where she believed she'd be safe from hunters. Her yellow eyes glanced down towards the city and tears wet her eyes. Delta saved her life many times, helped her gain her sanity back. His loss was rather hard on her. He was like the sibling she always wanted, though a bit annoying and angry at times, he always helped her out. Now it seemed the last person who cared about her was dead, and she was all alone. She had found refuge in a small log cabin, killing the previous owners and drinking their bodies dry. Eventually she turned her sights on hitch-hikers and drank 2 of them dry before some hunters found out and sent one of their own to investigate it.

Matthew had been sent with another hunter (Kilo please join) to investigate some dead bodies found sucked dry of blood on a hiking trail in the mountains, it was clearly the work of a vampire and matt was glad to be getting some action for the first time since the dead war really, and glad to be making a difference for his home town, as he headed up the path with his partner in full combat gear.

Willamena was currently unaware of the hunters that were after her life right now. She went to go feed on another hitch-hiker and it probably would be her last victim without her knowing it. She chased down a female hiker and bit harshly into her neck, drawing blood.

The woman let out a blood-curdling scream that was probably heard by the hunters.

It was indeed heard by Andrea, who quickened her pace, gun out in front of her, as they tracked the vampire.

"hear that?" Matthew asked the perhaps stupid question as he took point with his rifle headed for the sound

Willamena by the time they reached the spot where they heard the scream had already left.

The woman lay there on the cold soil, bloodless and lifeless.

Andrea ran to the body when it came into view, hand reaching to check her pulse. "Shit..." She murmured, standing again.

Meanwhile Matt kept his gun up and looked for tracks "it can't have gotten far..." Likeall supernaturals this blood sucker was clearly a menace

Footprints led away from the body up further up the mountain, they were fresh.

Andrea noted how stupid the vampire was, to not cover their tracks, before following them.

"Could be a trap stay alert" Matt said as they followed the foot prints

They soon came across a spot where there were multiple tracks intertwining and it was impossible to tell which one was the freshest one. Willamena was among those tracks and they spotted her. She wore a gray cloak and stopped as she heard them. She glanced back and quickly became invisible and began running.

Matthew wasted no time inn firing a fully automatic burst at the monster hoping to kill it or wound it giving them a blood trail to follow

Willamena let out a loud shout as it struck her thigh along with the sound of her falling for a second. She quickly got up and ran, but she was definitely leaving a blood trail. But luckily for her it started raining so they'd have to hurry to keep from losing the blood trail.

Matt in incredible shape was quick on the rail as he chased her through the forrest, she had made her last kill...

Willamena used her inhuman speed as much as possible and hid in a tree, hopefully losing them. She panted silently, exhausted and wounded. She looked down at her leg and sighed deeply. She needed to get to her log cabin to get medical supplies, but she doubted they would give up.

Andrea grinned, as she ran with Matt. God, she loved the thrill of the hunt. She, too, was in great shape and kept up with him easily. She kept her gaze on the ground, following the obvious signs that someone had passed here.

(Bella vampires don't have inhuman speed until they're really old now)

(Ugh, fuck it then, they easily catch up, I just don't want her to die so fast! I told you I wanted a chase scene, they lose her for a moment, and then they catch her off-guard >.<)

Willamena collapsed eventually inside the woods but slides down a hill and into the creek, which may be her only chance. She follows the creek, making them lose the blood trail.

Matt kept pace, tracking the blood he saw mud and grass displaced where someone had slid by a creek and followed it

Willamena kept running until eventually her invisibility wore off and she was visible. She kept running, darting between trees to try and out-smart them.

Andrea quickly caught up with the vampire, since people often aren't able to run very fast when they have an injured leg. When she did, she just shot her in the shoulder.

Willamena let out a loud shout and collapsed onto her stomach, fatally wounded. She tried to get up but she was losing a lot of blood.

Matthew saw where the vampire fell and unload his full auto clip allover her invisible body just to be sure

Willamena becomes visible laying flat on the ground, a pool of blood starting to form under her. She had no movement, so Matthew had succeeded in killing her.
