I'd say the korean war looking at how the koreas turned out

The greco-persian war wasn't clear cut at all , both sides had legitimate points.The Ummayad invasion wasn't a war , it was like...1 battle, and both sides can be seen as having legitimate points,Gauls trying to protect their land , Muslim moors trying to introduce what they believe to be enlightenment to a Europe that is torn up in the dark age.The civil war wasn't clear cut because it wasn't originally declared a war over slavery by the press and by Lincoln, until a bit into the war. The war against the huns yes, and the Boudicca Vs. Rome yes. However one can't take ww1 the seminal tragedy of the 20th century and simply give it a clear antagonist. ww2 perhaps yes, but not ww1.

To be fair from the germans during ww2 thought they had a good reason to fight so i don't like to judge based on perception.
(I'm on the roman side of boudica vs rome btw, given boudica's unrestrained slaughter of innocent roman citizens, and her general incompetence)

(I despise justinian, did you know when one of his officers was captured and a ransom was demanded he denied the family the ability to pay it and let him die in captivity, I don't mind that part, but on the man's death he forged a will that stated everything he owned should go to justinian. Skipio Africanus was the shit though, so was Gaius Suetonius Paulinus who led the final battle against a seemingly unstoppable boudica facing impossible odds (other roman forces in britain had retreated he took the last ten thousand men up against around 200,000 and won in a massacre))

(I don't know how to feel about Boudicca , I mean she's essentially the Nat Turner of the Brits ,she has every right to be mad ,what with her people being enslaved and her daughters being raped by roman so!diets , but on the other hand she killed many innocents ,even if those innocents profited off of the enslavement of her people. On Justinian ,I just plain can't dislike the guy for his ingenuity and his ambition to lift all of the Mediterranean into a new golden age , also Theodora is awesome so )
