No Man's Land

"Do anything stupid, and I'll feed you to the zombies," She smiled sweetly, before letting him go and straightening.

"I'll try to avoid that" Micheal said as he stood up  once again, and took off the clown mask "but feel free to throw me on the ground, and have your way any time we aren't near the undead hordes." He joked a bit as he slowly picked up his shotgun careful not to aim it at her, "Do you have a plan?"

"I'll keep that in mind," She responded with a wink. She tapped her lip thoughtfully at his next question. "I had stocked up on food when I first heard about them, but I hadn't much planned in the long run, other than waiting for things to calm down a bit outside."

"I'm Michael by the way, good to meet you. Here's what i have." Micheal introduced himself , and took out from various pockets a plastic bag full of shotgun shells, his own 1911 pistol with a spare clip, a fully loaded .38 revolver he took off a bank security guard, and a 9mm glock from another security guard. "mind if i throw my lot in with you for now?"

"Oh, damn," She said, as he produced all of his shit. "I'm Katrine." She gave one last peek out the window, before shrugging. "Sure, what the hell." She wasn't heartless enough to chuck him out into the massacre.

"Okay then, I think we should secure as best we can, and wait for the chaos to die down, unless you've bored up your windows we should do that." Micheal suggested to her "That's what i think, but i guess you're the boss kung fu lady"

"That I am," She agreed, with a laugh. "I may have some shit in the shed that can be used to board 'em up." She then made her way through the kitchen, grabbing an apple as she did so, before heading out into her well cared for garden and the cute little shed she had painted the colours of the rainbow to piss off her very, very Christian neighbours. It was packed of old painting supplies, easels, a lawn mower and chunks of wood left over from when she took apart her old wardrobe.

Micheal had seen enough movies, and TV to know that loud noises would attract zombies. Since  we didn't want any of that he left his shotgun on the table, and grabbed a baseball bat from the living room in case there were zombies in the backyard. He also tucked the 1911 into his jacket just in case they needed a gun. Then he followed her out into her garden, where  there was in fact a zombie chasing around her dog, it made a dash for the two of them as they  stepped out of the house; Fortunately though this was not the first time Micheal had to hit a moving person in the head with a baseball bat. One hit to the skull sent the thing to the ground, a second made sure it stayed there

"Good job, you," she nodded, going to check to make sure her dog was unharmed. Thankfully, he was, and she breathed a sigh of relief before continuing her trek to the shed. Lelantos greeted Michael with a friendly bark.

The sound of a horse neighing loudly can be heard from the street.

Normally ha horse in the street would be something worth investigating, however in the interest of not dying Micheal chose not to go out front, and investigate. The Criminal gave the dog a quick pat on the head, and went to help kung fu chick move some boards into the house so they could fortify. His older brother had filled him in on the army's plan, they should mobilize tonight, and after that there'd be curfew, but there was no way they'd be able to keep it up for long. His plan was to wait for things to calm down a hair then get out of the city.

Then , halfway through them doing that a horse, bearing two people,leaps over her fence and into her yard.

Katrine gave a little "woah!" of surprise as a freaking horse appeared in her yard, which sent her dog into fits of barking. She put a hand on her hip, mildly amused. "Can I help you?"

Micheal immediately pulled his pistol oon the strangers, but did not fire, it was good to be ready in case things got ugly though

Maria nods and leaps off the horse, keeping her eyes trained on Michael as she does "I suppose so, as you've know doubt noticed the feces has hit the proverbial fan." Her breath is heavy ,weighed down by fatigue and general wear-and-tear.

"We have indeed noticed that." Micheal lowered his gun, but only a bit, he was still ready to shoot if he had to.

"So, I'd love to, really," she said. "But I only have the one spare room, and by the looks of things, you are in desperate need of a free bed."

" You got a damn couch? That'd be enough " The man asks as he wipes some of his wet hair out of his face and looks over the two, the left top half of his face is hairless and shows signs of severe burns , and there is a fresh bullet hole in his ear lobe.

Dan nods "That's all we need, we'll be gone as soon as you want, we just need some sleep" He explains as their horse plops down onto the grass, exhausted.

"If your horse shits in my flowers, it will become the next batch of meatballs for Ikea," She warned, jerking her thumb towards the well groomed plot of flowers of every type and colour. She said this with a smile, to make it seem like she was joking, but she really wasn't.

Dan frowns at that , hands an apple to his horse and begins to walk towards the house.

Micheal resumed bringing wood inside
