Stopping a Catastrophe

(Khem already gave him the crystal you fool, last night! I even described what it looked like.)

Khem was holding a bag where his equipment was, he was ready to go to the ruins.

"Okay Khem do you want me to teleport us?" Matthew asked him knowing it may nauseate him

Khem looked at Matthew and spoke. "Teleport? You can do that? Well, it beats walking so you might as well." He said to him and was ready.

Mathew teleported them to the inside of the ruin smiling brightly as he did

(Can the summoner's spell be holding them here so they need to track down one of the casters to reverse it?)

(Sure.)

It was a bit dark so Khem conjured a small ball of light to float above him so he could see something, Khem looked at the Mother Demon briefly when he started to work. He was first investigating the magic and patterns used to summon her here.

Acheron stayed close to Matthew in case he needed his demonic translation.

The Mother Demon observed Khem's working briefly and then looked back at Matthew and Acheron.

Matthew greeted her in the demon tongue With a simple "Hello" slightly tentatively and in such a way she is barely able to understand, signs that he has only just started learning. Matthew then manage an "A gift for the beautiful lady" as he offered her the chest

The Mother Demon leaned at Matthew and extended her hands as she took the gift, opened it and looked at the pretty bracelet. She put the box down on the ground and slid the bracelet to her right arm, she smiled as she looked at the gift. She then leaned more down to Matthew's level and hugged him and spoke in demon tongue that Acheron translated as the two hugged. "She said thank you for the beautiful gift and that she likes you, she also told her name to you which is 'Heleanor'." Acheron told Matthew and just observed.

Matthew was blushing at this he took out,a and showed her the crystal, and asked Acheron to tell her he would like to visit her when he could , and let her know that the bracelet was enchanted, and could help protect her from harm. as he hugged her too

Acheron did as told and spoke to her as they started to separate from the hug, Heleanor nodded to what Acheron told her and then talked back. "She said that it sounded lovely and that otherwise she would miss you..." Acheron said to Matthew, then Khem approached and spoke. "We have a little problem that I noticed, apparently the mages bounded her here meaning that in order to reverse the spell and send her home we need at least one of the mages present here to fix it. So, you up for little hunting and searching?" Khem asked them and waited for a response.

Matthew was smiling when he heard what the demon mother said but frowned and nodded at khem when he heard what the summoner said "Okay Acheron let her know and tell her we're going to hunt them down." he looked at khem "Know any amateur summoners who could be involved in this?"

Acheron mildly frowned at the news and turned to Heleanor to tell her the news and their next course of action which she understood and nodded. "Okay got, I guess we better get one of them..." Acheron sand and looked at Khem.

Khem used time to think and spoke. "I don't fiddle with amateurs much but perhaps it is best to start with a rogue group of mages here? They might have something on this, I think they like to hang out under a certain bridge called the 'Steel Pipe'." Khem told them and folded his arms.

"We'll go together so you can make sure none of them bind me or acheron" MAtthew said to khem

Khem nodded, guess it made sense since Acheron was a demon and Matthew as far as Khem was able to determine a wingless angel. "Yeah, okay... Wouldn't want to end up trapped somewhere or enslaved by them I guess..." Khem took a few steps forward.

Acheron was also close to Matthew as he was the one moving them there. "I am already getting jolly flashbacks of binding..." He said frowning a little.

"I'll play offence, you defend khem if it comes to blows " Matthew said as he headed to the place khem implied they were

Acheron nodded and there they go, there was indeed a group of mages hanging under the Steel Pipe bridge and they stared at their sudden arrival.

"I'll keep this brief" Matthew said as he approached the mages "Someone summoned a pregnant demon mother, and we have about five days before her demon's hatch and kill the city , so I need one person from said group to remove the spell holding her hear"

The group only chuckled, they were acting like they didn't know anything and that Matthew's claims were absurd.

Matthew took out the pendant that bore the symbol of the white pearl and showed them before putting it back under his shirt "I'm sorry is this the badge of a guy who has come to make jokes, and if anyone tries to bind me, I've got fully armed squads on site just itching to kill every last one of you." He bluffed but it was very convincing "So i'll ask again, and if you want to live to see tomorrow i'd suggest one of you answer. Do any of you have information on a summoning in the ruins east of town?"

The mages immediately turned their heads around looking in any direction but no sight of anyone, but they were not going to risk it so one guy speaks. "Hey man, I heard it was a mage called Ben's idea. He lives in a cheap motel at Evest Street, nothing else than that but we got no part in it." The guy said and waited for Matthew and his goons to leave.

"You cooperation is appreciated" Matthew said, and teleported him and his "Goons" to said street smiling at his performances "And the academy award goes to..." He chuckled

Khem only shook his head not amused at Matthew's joking. Acheron gave Matthew a small clap.

Matthew headed to the office of the cheep motel "Hi i'm looking for a friend named Ben" he said with a pleasant smile

Acheron and Khem followed, the male receptionist on the counter spoke. "Hm? Really now? The quest log says that mister Ben is occupying room 10." He said to him innocently.

"Thank you sir' Matthew said to him "I don't know him, but i desperately need his help" Matthew said not discounting the possibility this man could be an ally of ben's, as he made his way to room ten and knocked

Acheron and Khem continue to follow, they had little impact right now. The door to room 10 opened and a young mage opened the door, he looked confused at who these people were.
