Death From Above: The Jungle-dwellers

From out of the silence of the forest he could hear a high-pitched, blood-curdling scream that sounded exactly like a terrified woman's come from in front of his. Out of the darkness he can see 2 sets of eyes and two loud growls coming from its owner.

Sam froze where she was as she heard one of the creature's screaming, but she had no idea where it was coming from.

Jason opened fire at the set of eyes while his new teammate stood frozen, Christ he hated getting stuck with new people, probably had some cliché tragic backstory and all that about how insert relative here was killed by the flying devils, she'd probably end up winging on about it later, like he gave a damn.

Angered by the bullets soaring towards it, the banshee charged forwards, ignoring the fact they were both armed.

Sam stopped being afraid and pulled off her machine gun, firing at both of its heads. Before it reached them she had struck its only heart and the creature crumpled to the ground. "Banshee." she muttered in disgust.

Jason kept his eyes open, glancing around he knew their could be more, he especially made sure to check the sky

Sam looked up at the sky too but glanced towards Jason. "I guess we're on the same team?" she asked him in a whisper.

"Yes" Jason said preferring to converse as it ruins the mood for him

She joined the army in order to try and get more action out of life by killing those strange creatures.

Skills: She is afraid of very little, and is skilled with the sniper rifle. She has knowledge in self-defence and is somewhat physically strong. She has basic understanding of poisonous plants and venomous creatures.

Andrea hadn't bothered opening fire at the Banshee once other two of her teammates had. Of course, she would have assisted, but they were doing a fine job without her help so she didn't see why she should waste her energy and ammo on it. She merely stood, leaning casually against a tree sucking on a lollipop that was supposed to be weed flavoured, but she highly doubted the legitimacy of the claim. "Good job, team," She said, her tone slightly patronizing and her expression unconcerned about the dangers around them. In fact, she actually appeared a little bored. In signing up for this job, she had imagined it to be much more exciting than the occasional, predictable attack.

It is then they all hear the loud screeching noises of a flying devil and it had its target set on Andrea. Sam lifted her machine gun and shot the feathered being in the chest. It gave one last screech before it fell onto the ground in front of Andrea.

Andrea's gaze turned to the sky at the sudden screech, thought no fear permeated her expression. "Huh," She said, staring down at the now deceased creature once it flopped in front of her feet. "That'll surely do it. Nice one, Squirt." Although she new this woman was older than her, her patronizing tone remained. She had also forgotten completely her name, though remembered it began with an 'S', hence where 'Squirt' came from.

Sam turned towards her with a lifted eyebrow. "It's Sam, actually." she muttered in response while she silently judged her.

"Who gives a F*** let's go" Jason said and headed into the forest with twitchy alertness he was eager to kill something himself he was sore over having missed the banshee earlier

"Terrific," She replied dryly, sticking the lolly back in her mouth. Andrea's gaze drifted towards Jason when he spoke, an amused smile playing on her lips. "Well, someone's enthusiastic." The young woman followed after him anyway, making loud, obnoxious slurping sounds with the lollipop.

of course the noise of Andreas lollipop, and the prior gunshots should attract more creatures, Jason new this from his previous exploits, with his alertness he was able to spot a scaled demon sneaking up on andrea and catch it with a full auto volley from his amd

"So it's great that you both can aim and all, but it would be lovely if I could shoot my own beasts," She said, twisting the stick of the lolly between her fingers. She raised her head at another loud shriek and a second flying devil circling the group, getting ready to strike. With two quick, consecutive shots from her hand gun she pulled immediately from a holster at her waist, she felled the beast, who tumbled loudly through the trees. The corners of her lips raised in a slight smirk at the defeat of the creature.

Sam smirked at the youngster's words before rolling her eyes. Rustling of brush nearby told her there was something. A bloody gourd stepped out but they could tell it was already disoriented by the face it walked right into a tree and fell over. Then two screams rang out from more than one banshee.

"Well be lovely in one hand, and P*** in the other see which one fill up first"  Jason said to her as the beast hit the ground and fired his flare gun at the gourd keeping his amd ready in his other hand, the stock folded in for manuverability

She rolled her eyes, though left him to kill the gourd. She focused instead on one of the closer banshees, killing it with a bullet between the eyes of each head.

Sam looked around for the other banshee. "Where is it?" she asked softly before a powerful force pinned her to the ground. The second banshee had been behind her and it was now pinning her to the ground and its massive heads growled as it prepared to bite into her and tear her into shreds.

Andrea's lips parted in a grin as she spotted Sam being pinned by the second Banshee. It perhaps took her a little to long to shoot it dead. Not because her reflexes were too slow, oh no. Simply because things were now getting more exciting.

Sam crawled out from underneath the banshee, she was nearly covered in blood. "Jesus Christ!" she exclaimed angrily.

as the gourd burned to death Jason remained alert "How long they got us out here this time?" he wondered to whoever the leader was, he was absolutely shaking with excitement after a mandatory one month leave it felt good to be back

Andrea sketched out a quick, mocking bow once Sam got to her feet, her eyes shining with amusement. "You're welcome."

Sam sighed deeply before looking towards Jason and shrugging. "You be the leader." she told him. She then turned back towards Andrea. "And you, I don't know you and I don't like you. I am grateful to you for saving me, but that is it. Mock me again and I'm throwing you out to the bloody beasts all by yourself and we'll see how long you can last!" she threatened coldly.
