Bloody Politics

Rowan then flies past them, lands on the roof making his shadow blades disappear. He then runs at him grapping the steep pipe to make sure he can't swing it as his right hand goes in for a punch on the stomach.

Khalid responded by promptly falling on his back before he could land the punch, pulling Rowan down with the pipe and planting both feet into the younger vamp's groin.

Rowan couldn't even get a scream out, he just crumbled there and then as he felt great pain and was paralyzed with his expression frozen in excruciating pain.

As he lay there on the ground a voice spoke from the back of his head, and it was angry. Was he really just going to allow that? Let this condescending meddling cowardly foreigner put him on the ground? When he had all this wonderful new power at his disposal? Perhaps a show of force was needed to illuminate these two older vampires to his new capabilities.

Rowan slowly got back up, the pain disappearing rapidly and he was ready to make his next move. Rowan used his speed to get behind Khalid, he grew long strong sharp talons on his fingers and was going to pierce through Khalid's back.

Unfortunately pulling that kind of stunt off was kind of risky on a roof top, and after monetary surprise Khalid struck backwards with a fist.

All that Khalid punched was black smoke, smoke that moved in front of him, solidified back into Rowan and gave him an uppercut.

He grunted as the punch grazed his chin, having leapt back to dodge , there was something off about this. No vampire this young and inexperienced could gain so many different powers. There was something fishy about all this and he intended to find out what it was.

Rowan would not let up, he charges after him summoning his ethereal wings now with sharp edges to cut. Rowan swings his left claw sideways at Khalid and his right wing for a downward slash at him after. Rowan could have never dreamed to be so powerful, finally he can stand on equal ground with other older vampires and not crawl before their feet kissing thir boots all the time. It felt good, really good, no one is gonna make him crawl again!

Anger, pride, insecurity, Khalid could feel all these emotions radiating off the young vampire as he charged. He needed direction, advice, or all this new strength would go to his head. A small smirk spread across his lips as he pushed out a hand, and using that same strange discipline pushed out toward's Rowan's very blood, wishing to stop him dead in his tracks.

Rowan gets a strange feeling, which makes him halt his attack and stop. Was he hesitating? No, that wasn't it, something else, something that Khalid was doing? He stared at Khalid's eyes in confusion, his wings vanishing from his back, wondering what Khalid was going to do?

Khalid shrugged "We're done here, I can work with you, even though your technique is sloppy, and you're clearly not used to this. What happened to you to make you give you so many abilities, and if you've always had it why were you groveling at their shoes before?"

"I uh... Uhm... None of your business?" Rowan just says folding his arms, he didn't want to give up the secret to anyone, the ring is his and his alone. The power that comes with it, surely if Khalid and other vampires knew they would try and take it for themselves right? Vampires were power hungry selfish creatures after all, no one shall know of it and Alexander needs to be killed before he spills the beans... As he probably knows about the ring as it was his before this, but... It makes one wonder why Alexander didn't use it himself...?

"You expect me to fight with you, risk my life for your ambition while withholding information?" He replied with a raised brow, shaking his head he turned around and walked rigt off the edge of the roof.

Rowan quickly followed him and spoke. "It is delicate information, you don't need to know it. I just want the elder vampires dead, they are doing atrocities! Once they are gone you can start your own clan in peace like you said." Rowan says, should that not be enough to fight?

What? Quickly he turned to face the other vamp, a bewildered expression on his face "I said that?"

"Something like it, you wanted your own group and make all other vampire groups obsolete. That is pretty much it, you made it sound you would do it better than others too since most groups only try to achieve their selfish desires. So, if we worked together we could get what we want right?" Rowan says certainty in his voice, that is what they discussed and Rowan did not understand why Khalid sounded so surprised.

Khalid frowned deeply, eyes looking broodingly out into the night as he listened , that sounded...familiar, eerily familiar. Like the words of a vampire he killed, killed and drank the blood of.

"Um hello? Earth beckons, I want an answer. Are you in or not?" Rowan said snapping his fingers in front of Khalid who seemed to be lost in thought for some reason.

Khalid mulled it over for a bit longer, just to spite Rowan and then finally replied " ...Fine."

Rowan waited a little annoyed but at least he eventually answered and his expression turned into a smile. "Great, I knew you had it in you, now we just need to figure out a plan. I obviously have intel on the members of the Blood Ark due to my time there, so we can start by discussing that. How about it?" Rowan said, his form speaking of confidence, no fear, Rowan sure has changed since the last time they met.

"Follow me back inside ." He replied and with that walked back into the restaurant.

Rowan did so, if any luck the other vampire here might join in on too. No other reason to keep someone as Khalid here unless they were already pals and well, partners in crime probably.

Jessie was putting on a pot of coffee for for some newly arived customers, changed one who had taken up a seat in a corner booth. He gave the pair a questioning look as they walked back in and ask "Sort out your issues?"

Khalid raised a brow "I had none in the first place, simply wished to see if he could fight." He remarked nonchalantly as he picked back up his apron and started heading back to the kitchen "I'll back your play I suppose, a common enemy and a deadly one at that makes it wise. But if I get the impression that you're too inexperienced, too naive, even too soft to get things done? I'm out."
