Something isn't right

"Should we be killing the mob?" Janik wondered awkwardly at citra, they weren't an immediate threat as they here being held back, and they didn't seem to be killing the people holding them back, this whole situation was all very strange to him and he wasn't sure what to do.

However soon the situation turned more and more dire as the attempts at calming down the mob were drowned out by insults and curses , and soon enough a full scale brawl had broken out as one of the mob hit a woman with a wooden cudgel. "We do as we must." Citra replied without breaking a sweat as she pulled out each of her four swords with a effortless grace.

"That's a bit vagu..." He began but finally caught on when she pulled her swords "Ooooooh ok then I get it" He began blasting magic arrows into the mob members he could get a clear shot off on

The brawl quickly devolved even further , soon it was nothing but chaos , the only thing keeping those involved from striking their allies the black patches on the clothes of the mob members. Men rolled in the mud like pigs striking at each other as blood began to spill onto the water logged roads of the town. Yet Citra , ever calm cut through the storm , blades spinning and dancing like acrobats as the pale sunlight flashed off her cold steel.

Janik was much less impressive, just shooting any cult member he had a clear shot on with magic, he was no warrior monk, no graceful whirlwind of steel and death, nor even a battle mage, just an undead wizard who had a staff and knew how to use it rather well. He admired a bit the grace of citra's dance, but his eyes did not linger on it while the mob situation was ongoing, and he had to be taking aim and firing.

The smell of burning hay signalled a turn for the worse as a torch dropped in a wheelbarrow begin to spread embers of flame throughout the village and soon the whole place would be up in fire!

Janik remembered the boarded up house that had been surrounded, and knowing that the people inside would never get out in tie on their own and he was't strong enough to break the door down called "Citra, the people inside!"

"They will be saved." She declared , no doubt in her voice as she weaved past the mob like a needle through thread , and with resounding strength smashed through the door, releasing a cloud of smoke behind her as she disappeared into the building.

However the brawl in the streets wasn't over yet as three men wielding cudgels approached Janik with grim faces and grimmer eyes "You'll die here blasphemer." One coldly proclaimed as he charged at Janik with his club.

Janik jumped back in surprise, recovering just in time to blast the man with his ring of lightning, briefly the man's skeleton flashed before he fell convulsing on the ground as his bowels released "You just love picking on innocent villagers, but now... you face a true wizard..." He gave the others a somewhat unsettling grin

Hairs stood erect on the neck of one of the thugs , his mettle shaken by the smile of murder that had appeared where he had expected fear , not helped by the body of his comrade now laying shitting it's bowels out. Terror and doubt overwhelming him he fled , and soon his fellow followed behind him.

Janik proceeded to turn his smile to the man on the ground convulsing defenseless "Well aren't you in a mess of trouble..." he tried a pun, nothing scarier than puns

That was very unscary , just...very.

Well he proceeded to hit the man hard in the jaw with his staff knocking them out

Then in a shower of wooden spliners and embers Citra came leaping out of one of the boarded windows , carrying an old man and woman in her powerful four arms "Cover me!" She yelled as she dashed past her wizard friend.

"But I don't have a blanket..." He said confused by the unfamiliar lingo, he wondered what good that would do anyway as he shot someone trying to tackle her in the face with a magic arrow

"Just do what you're doing." She insisted.

"Well alright" Janik said still not understanding the warrior lingo, he shot more mob peasants.

 The ending of the fight had been sow and grueling , bodies piling through the street , groans of the injured and a few dying echoing through the now ravaged town. Yet eventually the villagers had managed to beat back the mob , and the few fanatics un-captured began to gradually flee.

"Well that was quite invigorating." The cheerful and uninjured Janik piped up, looking at the villagers, and citra "Anyone on our side need a medic" He asked with that cheerful grin unaffected by the wounded and the dying around him as if he were in his own separate world untouched by the suffering that wen on around him

"Obviously yes "

"Right! With all this blood I can fix that everyone stand back." Janik said cheerfully grabbing one of the freshly dead bodies of the mob members by the hair and dragging it over with a bright smile on his face full of mirth and earnest good will, despite the desecration he was about to preform.

Citra's eyes widen as she watched "What are you doing?"

"Healing ritual" Janik produced a bowl; took his knife and slit the corpse's throat letting the blood spew forth into the bowl "Works best wit the living but the freshly dead will do well enough." He cheerfully explained approaching some of the wounded with the large bowl. "Hold still I'll have you back on your feet in no time." he said to one of the more badly wounded individuals as he knelt beside them

The people were....very obviously uncomfortable about this , a few taking steps back from the mage with disgusted expressions.

Janik paid the people no mind, hopefully they would be grateful enough that there friends did not die in the mud when he was done; that said many were not, but that didn't bother the undead; humans were just naturally squeamish from his point of view, and he just wanted to help. Several symbols drawn in blood and invocations later, the wounded would in fact be almost good as new sporting some new, but healed scars from their earlier wounds
