Dark souls

Finn jumps on the creature pinning down vic and hacks off its head with his shortsword. "What was his name ?" He asks as he blasts away another attacking dog with a greater soul arrow. Couldn't be master logan could it, no the legendary big hat logan wouldn't have any reason to go to Catarina... unless he was on vacation. .. or traveling to londor to study dark sorcerries. ..or traveling to search for the lost golden sorcerries. .. ok so maybe there were a few reasons he would pass through

Merielle thought about it. "I think he had a weird name starting with an S." she said. "Sval, I think." she told him.

Vic blinked gratefully to Finn.

(It can be logan if you want  he's going to show up later)

Finn helps vic up now the hollows have been dealt with before nodding at her "Sval was an odd one, but he had some talent." He acknowledges" since you know the greater soul arrow i must treat you as a full sorcerer and an equal"

(Too late XD But cool for logan showing up!)

Merielle smiled. "Of course." she said.

Vic sighed. "I suck at this." she said lowly.

"Too bad i enjoy looking down on those who haven't mastered that spell,  in my homeland only those who have mastered the greater soul arrow are considered full sorcerers"  Finn explains before looking at vic "you did okay it happens to the best of us... more importantly..." he checks the assassin and finds a heat up old staff on his corpse assassins being known to apply sounds muffling sorceries. He offers vic the staff

Vic looked at the staff.

Merielle snorted.

It's a pretty basic looking staff shorter than Finns but longer  than a wand and it isn't in great condition although the latter can be fixed with a little effort  restoring it.

Finn nods "it is a good beginners catalyst " he then turns to merielle "like you don't,  how's the arm?"

Vic takes the staff hesitantly before examining it curiously.

Merielle winced once. "Bit!" she answered annoyed.

Finn offers her a drink of his estus flask and chuckles" we may as well have our own little school out here"

Merielle took the estus flask and drank some before handing it back. "I ain't no teacher." she said.

Vic rolled her eyes at Merielle, since she didn't like her as much as everyone else.

"That was a double negative"  Gerald points out returning to the group as he cleans the blood  off his blade "guess they don't teach grammar in magic schools"

Finn chucklesand takes his flask back as her arm is instantly healed

Merielle points her wand at Gerald. "Don't make me use this on you!" she shouted.

Vic giggled at Merielle's reaction.

Finn speaks up "so maybe don't shout at people it might draw the dragon"

Gerald puts up his hands in surrender

His most famous sorcery is probably the Soul Spear; few are intelligent enough to use this spell, and its practitioners are very few even the dragon school doesn't have any practitioners currently attending, but its power is said to rival lord gwyns lightning

Merielle shuts up, but her eyes remain narrowed at Gerald.

Vic looks around warily.

"So let's get moving again" finn suggests to the others

Gerald quickly looks away unnerved

Merielle shakes her head in disapproval before she began leading them again.

Vic looked at Finn. "So when will I be able to practice? Soon?" she asked him.

"Next bonfire we run into we'll take a rest, and I'll teach you a bit. i know of one in a ruined tower closer to our destination ." He explains as he points to said ruined tower near a cliffs edge in the distance, they couldn't stop in the open they needed to find a defensible plafe to hold up

(So when's logan gonna come into the picture?)

Merielle rolled her eyes.

Vic nodded once after he explained.

Finn looks at merielle" why do you sarcasm at everything like you're a goth hormone filled teenager, there was nothing to roll your eyes at in that sentence?" He asks baffled by he childishness 


(Logan.will come in at sens fortress,  he's an actual game character)

Merielle shrugged. "I don't know, maybe I rolled my eyes at you explaining our next stop to a child." she answered him sharply.

Vic blinked in confusion at the sorceress.

Finn rolls his eyes back "says the person to whom i had to explain how dragons work"

Merielle growled angrily at him. "Just shut up already! You're going to make me give away our position in a minute!" she shouted half-loudly at him.

Vic glanced around nervously, wondering and fearing that her half-loud shouts might just have given away their position.

A dragon's roar can be heard in the distance and finn gives a sight "everyone run for the tower" he says knowing it is strong enough to hold up to the dragons assault

Vic's eyes widened before she began running for the tower.

Merielle just stayed by Finn's side.

Finn and Gerald also run towards the tower just across a large nearby bridge easily 1000 ft across along side the cathedral, the dragon's wingbeats draw ever closer however and it becomes evident the the Dragon will catch them. Then there is another roar as they are about halfway over the bridge, a roar far less natural than the dragons equally deafening so much so that the dragon can now be heard flying away
