Dark souls

Merielle lifted an eyebrow at him at "respawn". Is she even a hollow? she wondered in thought. "What about the sorceries of Catarina?" she asked him.

Vic just watched them curiously.

"What sorceries do they teach in Catarina?" Finn asks "Aside from the basic soul arrows obviously" he adds knowing those to be a universal tool for the basic defense of sorcerers. He looks around the small abandoned house they just respawned at and sat down in a chair that was still standing

Merielle thought about it. "Teleportation, shielding, and mainly potions and such." she said, pulling out her spell book to show him.

"I didn't even know teleportation was possible" Finn says casually

Merielle nodded. "Well, for short distances! You can't teleport between places, but you can do it to dodge attacks and such." she said to him. "I'd be glad to demonstrate if you want." she said, smirking.

"Ok think fast. " fin says and unleashes a rapid fire barrage of miniature soul spears at her

Merielle chuckled once before she disappeared into thin air, making Vic gasp in surprise. Not long after, Finn felt a tap on his shoulder. "Like I said, it can be used to dodge attacks." she said to him, grinning widely.

"I figured" he laughs "what do you know of the magic of Vinhiem? "

Merielle chuckled. "I wasn't taught much about the magic of Vinhiem, so I know very few if any things about it." she answered him, her tone turned nervous.

"Well it's some of the most complex and powerful magic in the world" he says somewhat arrogantly 

Gerald keeps an eye on the thief sharpening his blade

Merielle's jaw dropped at this. "Are you saying Catarina's magic is weak?" she asked him, her tone told them that she felt as though she had been insulted.

Vic sighed deeply and looked at the ground. She turned away from them and slowly began walking away.

Finn shakes his head "no it seems interesting and practical, but other than the teleportation infinitely less complex"

"It's not safe out their" Gerald says cassually

Merielle sighed. "I guess practical is what it qualifies as." she said before turning towards the thief.

Vic stopped in her tracks. "I have weapons on me, I'll be fine." she said before she flinched as she looked towards some hollows close by.

"Those toothpicks hardly qualify as weapons" Gerald says following her

"True mastery of sorceries can only be attained by a deeper understanding of the nature of the soul, without that sorcery is as elementary as pyromancy" Finn says with all the smug superiority sorcerers tend to hold over pyromancers for their arts deeper complexities

Vic stopped in her tracks before turning towards him and narrowing her eyes. "I don't need a bodyguard! Plus I'm a thief, remember?!" she exclaimed loudly, both fists clenched.

Merielle smirked. "Like I need educating!" she said, putting her hands on her hips.

Finn chuckles and follows Gerald 

Gerald cuts down one of the hollows who attempted to run up and stab her while her back was turned

Vic's brown eyes widened as he struck down a hollow. She glanced nervously around before staring straight at him. "I guess I do need a better source of protection, but I don't think you'd be willing to aid a thief." she muttered lowly.

Finn soon split from the group heading south his destination  the ruin of the city of anor londo, former seat of the gods and the home of seath the scaleless 

"With survival yes" Gerald says simply" but not with thieving"

Merielle walked over to Gerald and stopped at the knight's side. She looked at Vic, her gaze practically judging the much younger girl. "After seeing how you took care of that hollow a short moment ago, she's probably too scared to try and steal from you now.........am I right?" she asked Vic.

Vic looked nervously down at the ground before nodding in response to the sorceress' question.

Finn stops after a moment. Proceeding upon his current path without back up would be nearly impossible calls back to the others" if you're looking to steal something of value follow me" 


Gerald laughs in q blooming voice "any moron can take out a dozen hollows"

Merielle looks towards Finn's direction. "Why? Where you going? What are you going to do?" she asked him in confusion.

Vic sighed deeply. She then looked confused at Finn's statement.

"The city of the gods, and the home of the first sorcerer, who has been around since before the first flame.... anor londo. I travel by way of sen's fortress of deadly traps and skilled warrior snake men, but first i must open a gate by ringing two bells... one located at the top of this cities giant cathedral, and the other located in a poison swamp way bellow  the city... and along the way we may find an ancient dragon whose entire body has devolved into a giant fanged mouth....." finn declares undeterred by the many potential hazards.

Merielle's eyes twinkled in interest. "And what will we be there to steal exactly?" she asked.

Vic just listened to his words, curiosity glinting in her eyes.

"Well divine weapons and artifacts  unmatched by the crafts of man if that's your  fancy " finn says cassually "but i myself am more interested in the regal archives of seath the scaleless where i can find new sorcerries"

Merielle snickered at his last couple words. "That sounds a bit selfish, don't you think?!" she exclaimed with a smirk, her tone told them she was only teasing. "Well, maybe I'll learn some things too." she added in, blinking her eyes.
