Franky has no intention of doing that and leaps into the fray ,pistol in one hand , rapier in the other ,moving with keen precision , which while only mediocre by Rin's standards, would be impressive to any human.

Rin gave a whoop at every successful takedown, occasionally doing the same for Rook and Frankie, as if this were all just a big game to her. Which it totally was.

Soon the force at the gate has been entirely cut down , the warriors letting out tribal war cries as they stand over their defeated does. Franky just shakes his head "There will be more of them no doubt of that"

Rin gave one final whoop, raising her fist to the sky. "Let them come," She said, eyes bright and skin glowing with a slight sheen of sweat. "We will be ready for them."

"I don't doubt that" Rook agreed with franky and doubted rin's confidence

Franky frowns at the elves' enthusiasm "You seem a little too happy about all of this"

"I don't know what you're talking about," She said cheerfully, as she wiped the blood of her weapons.

"There are good people bleeding out on the ground , who died to protect their homes , and here you stand grinning , have a little respect" He replies somberly , his face in a rare grim expression.

"We succeeded, what's the problem?" She asked, utterly lost.

"No , we didn't more of them are coming , more will die " He replies somberly.

"We took these guys, we can take the others," She said.

"Let's look at the casualties before we decide that" Rook said to her "But this was a victory"

She just shrugged.

Rook hears cannon fire in the distance , and not like the ones on the war beasts , actual naval cannons.

"Well it seems the cavalry has arrived." Rook said and found the king and queen. "Your majesties we're going to head out and get our crew, that sounds like them now. I think with them we can make a final push, would either of you be able to join us?"

The King and Queen simply nod as their dragon takes off to another section of the wall that is being breached. The nearby troops following them vigorously , having completely repelled the enemy forces in the vicinity.

Franky turns to Rook "You think Hamid finished up those anti-air weapons?" HE questions as he snaps the reigns on his lizard beast and begins riding for the bay where the ship has most likely docked.

"I damn well hope so..." Rook said as he spotted a force of giant hell bats on the horizon "We should hurry" he said

A sharp whistling sound pierces the air and suddenly a massive explosion goes off in the middle of the flock of Hell Bats "I think he did it"

"We aught to buy him a drink" Rook said and headed toward the ship
