The last war

It was a time of war for mankind; a time of armies matching steel all across the world, but all the wars humanity waged against itself did not prepare us for her coming. During one of the many holy wars monks traveling with the western army had a vision from what they mistakenly perceived was their god; this led them to leave the army and uncover an ancient tomb in the desert, a tomb unlike any that had been seen before, a great red stone pyramid covered in ancient and fading wards, that were not built to keep someone out, bur to hold something in. Powerful as they once were the wards soon faded after being uncovered, time had taken its toll reducing the enchantments to a brittle fragility. No one really knows exactly what happened next, but by weeks end armies were on the march toward all kingdoms of humanity; armies of legendary creatures thought to be extinct or unreal dragons, Minotaur, chimera, gargoyles, and werewolves just to name a few. Behind this army was a sorceress who made all sorcerers from this day and age look like dabbling children, with the power to  conjure great typhoons and swarms of starving locusts with a wave of her hand, who can resurrect each warrior fallen against her as another in her army. After a decade of constant war nearly all of Africa has fallen as have parts of asia. Fighting is intense in southern europe and the middle east, knights, Mamluks, vikings and peasant soldiers all joining forces to combat the threat.  She exist to challenge that humankind had built, to destroy it, and to rebuild the world as she saw fit, one side must fall, or the other.

He was apprenticed for years but his master released him from his service when he did not believe sparrow was capable of learning any more complex spellcraft and thus it would be a waste of time to teach him; even so he is a genius with Enchantments and magical contraptions.

Tokmar castle, located in turkey, formerly a Byzantine stronghold, then the home of the Knight's hospitaller, now the sight of a battle in great war between men and the sorceress. Sir Vahlan was on the ground in this battle on the ramparts  slicing through reanimated soldiers from the christian army that had been caught off guard in the initial attack by the sorceress, he booted a french knight off the ramparts and chopped off the head of a once human soldier trying to scramble up a ladder onto the ramparts before knocking down said ladder with a mighty push. Back into the besieging hordes of beast men undead and bellow. Those were the least of their problems, the trolls wading toward the gate from the back of the horde, those were the problem "Archers aim for the trolls!" He ordered his men on the ramparts, they did but troll hide was thick and their success limited

Koharu cut down hoards of the sorceress' army with apparent ease, moving like her feet were barely touching the ground like a wraith. Her features were concealed behind a wooden mask, and her relatively loose clothing billowed with each movement, further illustrating the idea that she is some sort of phantom. At the sudden order, she stuck her naginata into the ground, and grabbed the yumi to shoot the trolls dead.

Meanwhile Askia is trying for other out what the hell is happening , as he was taking a nap.

A sorcerer also on the ramparts, a young and small looking lad who let the soldier's do the fighting saw them do this, he took out the smooth blue stone he held in his left hand, and chanted a spell that lit the tips on fire, fire being the bane of trolls.
