Koharu cast her gaze towards the sorcerer, head cocked slightly, but she continued raining arrows down on the trolls.

Thanks to the fire the trolls began to fall. The sorcerer waved awkwardly when she gave him a look.


The sound of wing beats was suddenly heard from above "Get Down!" Adrian shouted and took cover behind the ramparts

At his warning, Koharu dove under cover, grabbing her naginata while she did so. She peered out from behind cover at whatever creature was coming.

The sorcere dove off the ramparts and broke an arm before a Clydesdale horse sized dragon swooped down and incinerated the archers who did not make it to cover

Koharu froze briefly, the sight of the great beast coming as a shock. But the murder of the soldiers hardened her resolve, and she rose, loosing an arrow while she did so.

Askia at the arrival of the dragon grabs up a throwing spear and tossed it at the the beast as hard as he can.

The dragon took the arrow to the neck and the spear to its wing and crashed into the ground in front of Askia

Askia grabs another spear and make it in the monster's throat before it can cause anymore damage.

Koharu nocked another arrow, ready for any other opponent.

It was then that the gate of the fortress was shattered by the fist of a troll that had made it through while they were dealing with the dragon; Splinters and a few knights trying to brace the gate are sent flying. As beastmen and the troll rush in Adrian gives a war cry and charges into the breach with about thirty other knights; breaking the charge of the beastmen with Adrian in the vanguard chopping down beastmen weft and right, using his armor instead of his blade to block incoming attacks

And then the sound of a horn echoes over the battle field.

Koharu also rushed at the beast, cutting down anything in her way. Her gaze lifted towards the direction of the horn when it called.

She was stabbed in the leg when she did that because this is the heat of battle and shit

Far in the distance on a hill overlooking a castle , mounted figures begin to appear.

Two seconds was all it took

Koharu bit her tongue to stop any sound from escaping, and ran her blade through the throat of the offending soldier.

Seeing one of his best fighters is injured, probably better than him Adrian shouted her as  he stepped between her and and enemy knight parrying a thrust with his blade, and plunging his own blade into the knights neck "Get back to the keep, and take the damned sorcerer with you, you're of no use dead." an injury to the leg was sure to fuck up her footwork, leaving her crippled in this battle. Adrian yanked his blade from his opponents neck and kept fighting

Koharu didn't follow his advice, because honestly she was a bit irritated at being told to return to the keep while everyone else was fighting. She simply turned and beheaded some fool behind her. She was clearly resting a significant part of her weight on her uninjured foot, and the other one was raised slightly so only the ball of her foot was on the ground. Blood seeped from the wound and dripped to the ground, and she made a soft hissing sound when she was forced to place any more weight on the leg.

And then the ground begins to shake as the figures on the hill come crashing down Into the back of the monster force , putting them between a rock and a hard place.

Of course fighting this way tears Koharu's leg wound causing her to bleed substantially more form putting a strain on it, good job her.

Adrian dodged a blow from a minotauar's axe and sliced open the creature's gut because he doesn't look into the distance when people are trying to cleave him in half

Meanwhile Askia ,who's sword has broken ,is fighting off several lizard men with a quarterstaff "Damned cheap blacksmith" he grumbles under his breath .
