The last war

"How about we settle it between us then?" Adrian said, not intimidated by the jeers

He simply laughs "Sounds good to me."

Adrian was unreadable in his plate armor; he was quiet and ready to fight

Ganbataar nods "Is it a challenge of fist or of blade?" He asks.

"Blade" The knight said to him

"So be it " He replies with a dark chuckle as he draws his scimitar like blade and a nearby soldier tosses him a shield.

Adrian drew his longsword

The mongol's troops back up a bit , allowing them a good amount of space to fight.

(Ganbataar is gonna have to win this , but he'll of course spare him)

(one of them is a horseman, one of them is a ground fighter)

(Your dude is a knight , which means he's a horse fighter as well , also it's for plot reasons , your knight has been fighting a battle all day , Ganbataar just got here , how would it make sense?)

(Notice horseback riding is not in his skills, he's barely mediocre at riding and he's shit with a lance. He actually hasn't; the enemy just breached the walls. Also he's wearing plate armor and a has a long sword, a far superior weapon)

Th knights do the same , Adrian keeps his distance waiting for the mongol to try and close in

Ganbataar flips down the metal facemask part of his helm and begins circling the Knight, studying the Knight in a matter of moments and formulating a plan. The German is taller than him , although they share similar bulk . The Knight is probably a ground fighter what with the longsword and all. And while the blade won't be able to pierce the sturdy plate and mail of his armor , blunt force trauma will still take him out. He needs to get in close , hit the Knight where he's weak , all he needs is a good hit to the knees and all that plate mail will surely send him down , then he can capitalize . He has one disadvantage though , his scimitar , while great for cutting through flesh , padded armor and the like , it's no good against a knight . He should have brought down his mace but he wasn't expecting anyone to challenge him , oh well.

The knight was something of a jack of all trades, he was strong; he was not the strongest. He was fast; he was not the fastest. He was smart; he was not the smartest. He was a master of the fundamentals of german swordsmanship in practicality over flashiness. He could be outmatched in his strengths, but he could also exploit his opponent's weaknesses, and was most skilled in doing so.

He has to find a way past that sword , his shield will only block so many blows before he gets thrown off balance . If he had a spear he could take out the man's knees , but he doesn't , he's gonna have to work with what he has her. With a grunt he puts his shield up and begins approaching.

Adrian slides one hand up onto  his blade as the mongol moves in, it would look strange to the mongol if he hadn't seen it before

Ganbataar just grunts in acknowledgement , this is going to.....Complicate things .

Adrian waits for his opponent to make his move, he is patient, and focused

GB dashes forward a bit shield first hoping to get Adrian off balance.

Adrain sidestepped the attack and spun his stored and jabbed the blade toward GB's face, his opponent's blade did not worry him, it wouldn't pierce his armor

Ganbataar easily parries the swing away with his shield , and while the Knight is still open bashes him over the head with the solid metal of his shield, than immediately dashes back.

However when he parries the blade away due to halfswording adrian is able to come across with a strong hilt to the face with the pommel f his sword, using not only his force but momentum gained from the parry as well.

GB grunts in pain as he is knocked back but managed to stay balanced , at least he managed to connect , but getting in and dealing blunt damage is going to be a pain.

Adrian took a solid hit to his face but fortunately the mongol hadn't been able to bring it over his head in that amount of time so he was fine, Adrian returned to his halfswording stance
