The remaining Eldar armed themselves with shuriken catapults, it didn't really make sense for them t be called that as they were more like a rifle variant of the shuriken pistol, and any other weapons suitable to hold out with. Harlequins ussually preferred to charge in with melee weapons in a great offence, but this timer they were on the defense which meant ranged weapons and cover, the area was thick with rubble and trees to use as cover, and a sizable could be spotted nearby, in which the shadow seer could feed the influence of chaos. Men and women in leather wielding auto guns had gathered using the trees around them and makeshift barricades as cover put they did not attack, they were already a large force, but were likely waiting on backup.

Menarith watched them, prepared to fight once they made it clear they were going to attack.

Soon auto gun fire erupted from the trees firing on the eldar position, there were over a hundred cultists to her handful of fighters

She ran to cover, appearing as nothing more than fractals of light, before using dance of shadows on them.

This allowed her unit to stick close to her and lay down fire that killed enemies left and right... until someone threw a grenade at them that is

(it's the only thing I know...)

And they dove out of the way obviously. Menarith retaliated by plucking shards of light and chucking them at their foes.

With her power no longer focused on the darkness stuff her squad was left in the open and got shot to pieces, fortunately when she dodged she landed in cover. It became clear they would not win this fight alone.

so then she did that distress call thing or whatever.

Ysil's eyes widen as she hears the distress call in the back of her head "I'm getting a telepathic distress call from another Eldar who's not far from here , she and her fellow warriors are pinned down by chaos cult warriors"

"Sounds like a good chance to get some better gear" Gallus commented as he looked up from his cards

Hadrian sighs looking at his royal flush"And we will have to go save them I imagine"

"Ya'll go get some extra ammo" Gallus said as he laid down with a sigh the ultimate hand, royal flush spades. "I'll get us a ride"

Ysil is already off to tell Primus.

Primus is meditating quietly in someone's closet, the dark and the enclosed space helps comfort him.

Gallus went to "Borrow" a tauros venerator from the vehicle depot

"Leader human , I have received a distress call from a nearby elder warrior, her and her warriors are being pinned down by chaos cultists , I would think it prudent to send some warriors to aid them"

Primus ceased meditating as she opened the door "I'm can only commit our squad to the effort" He said to her "and i'm not sure where the ork went, I could probe around for him, but I don't really want to glimpse what's in his head"

Primus can hear the ork yelling outside.

"Oi want to come shoot some things?" Gallus called to the ork as he drove by with a tauros venerator pulling two more tauros venerators. "Take one if you can drive it ork."
