Invitation to a Night Party

Lord Tallon answers as he picks his glass of bloodwine back to take a sop. "Quite well I suppose, there hasn't been much trouble lately which is fine... Though we did lose some younger vampires to insanity, had to move them to the locations where all the other insane ones are... Such weak minded individuals aren't they?" Lord Tallon asked and took a sup from his bloodwine.

Seth was just enjoying the food and drink at the table.

(maybe nenet could talk to seth, or ki's other character could show up)

"Well it's tough trying to live without blood, it'd drive most people mad" Orlock said to him rather cassually

(Look I'm just gonna say Victor continues guarding Orlock ,and stop posting here okay?)

(Why would Nenet talk to a servant...)

(She's more likely to talk to Victor)

Lord Tallon spoke more. "Perhaps, but they could move themselves to the area of insane vampires when they get to it, tired of dispatching someone to do the moving..." Tallon said with a sigh, it was hard to have any useful young vampires around these days.

And so Nenet went to find the young vampire who had previously been guarding Orlock. "Does Orlock need a guard in his old age now?" She asked with a smile, as she slid into place beside him, a glass in hand.

"I do not believe so my lady , I think he just likes the company" He replies smoothly as he takes a sip out of his glass ,his voice has a bit of am accent German most likely.

His accent succeeded in intriguing her. She always did like the sound of a German accent. "And I suppose any company is better than the old farts in the Court," She replied, smiling faintly.

A small smirk creeps onto his face as he hears the word 'fart' used to describe the ancient and venerable vampire elders who rule over the sewers "Yes I suppose so ,and the Marionette doesn't make for good conversation either , regardless i suspect my master has no real need for security , I have never seen him fight ,but you can tell simply from the way he holds himself , I sense the same in you as well my lady"

She cast him a wicked smile. "Clearly you do not know me well enough."

"Well we've never actually talked to each other before , excluding the times you've ordered me to bring you tea and such " He replies calmly.

"Indeed, and what nice tea it was," She replied airily.

"It was my pleasure , while we're on the subject why has one of your stature decided to stoop to conversation with me ?" He questions , as most high class vampires younger vampires as inferior.

"Well, most of whose whom I would otherwise be speaking to, treat me as little more than a child," She replied, a hint of malice in her tone.

"Strange , Orlock told me you're around 900 are you not? That doesn't seem young to me no offense" He replies as he begins fixing himself another drink.

"I have not yet reached a millennia, and so I am very much looked down upon by those who have," She replied.

Victor nods "Hmmn ,it's strange ,even in the sewers ,there is still a hierarchy" Victor murmurs .

Orlock was not a fan of prettying himself up and strutting elegantly about like peacock trying to attract a mate, he was here mostly to gather information. He had no love for the other elders; in the days of the old kingdom he had been no noble, he was a human turned by mistake, then a mercenary in the war with the old mages when his sire would not claim him as family. The other elders had always been rulers and nobility, but over the years he wore many labels: cattle, mercenary, assassin, general, hunter, prey, recluse, Warlock, and now elder. Now men who wouldn't have pissed on him if he were on fire lined up to break bread with him and it sickened him. But he wore the mask of a smile well and said "Nearly better to purge the unforgivably insane i say, but then we'd have so few left"

Lord Tallon finished his bloodwine and spoke. "No matter what happens, we can always make more vampires if we run short on the service folk. But ah, it is time for the grand evening... Come, let us gather at the main hall with the stage..." Lord Tallon said as it was time to sell the human slaves.

The sound of a window shattering interrupted the mindless chatter. Yeva sat amidst the shards of glass, bleeding slightly as some had pierced skin. She looked up, a little lost looking. "This is not home," She whispered.

Orlock surprised had turned immediately to face the comotion

Lord Tallos as well and of course the full attention of the party had shifted to Yeva. Lord Tallos ordered his guards to handle the situation and get rid of Yeva.
