Life in a crypt

Meanwhile at crow's crypt both Lucian, and Violet had chosen to move in and be the ghoul mage's assistants in exchange for his protection. Crow was a nice guy over all, but he required those living under his roof to pitch in, in at least some small way whether it be cooking, or cleaning, hunting, or helping  with his experiments, even going into town occasionally for supplies, or scouting the perimeter; so long as they contributed in some way everyone was welcome under his roof, though few people wanted to stay in a crypt with a ghoul dark mage, he had ended up making the offer to most supernaturals who he encountered in need. For now though it was just violet, and Lucian who had been set up with large bedrooms, and stuff his magic generator provided light and all those things the living seemed to be keen on. Lucian had been working mostly as a lab assistant in magical matters, and cooking for everyone which he seemed to enjoy, but he hadn't gotten to know violet as well as he would like, she seemed nice and was quite pretty too, so after a couple weeks, he worked up the courage approach violet, and asked if he could walk with her on her trip to town.

Violet was currently putting on her violet cap which she usually wore to hide her ears when he asked her. "Don't you have cooking to do?" she asked him softly, wiping the ripples out of her skirt with her hands.

"Oh no, not until dinner, i just made sandwiches for lunch" Lucian said, and offered violet a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a napkin. "Besides I need to get out, and stretch my legs, so i figured i might tag along if you don't mind." He said to violet with a smile

Violet gulped nervously before she sighed deeply and shook her head when he offered the PB&J sandwich to her. "Fine, just try not to be much of a nuisance. I also don't want our cover to be blown, so no talking about what we are." she told him before she quickly began to leave.

(You didn't specify how she'd get the supplies so I'm assuming she'd have to buy it)

Crow had just written "Food" and "Refreshment" On the list he had given her as usual. By refreshment the ghoul probably meant juice, he especially enjoyed fruit punch but never complained at what she brought back, he had given her a magic grocery bag that she could put it all in when she left the store, and it would become spaceless and weightless til it was pulled out. "You know me, always subtle." Lucian said with a grin, but at least he wore a Tshirt and jeans instead of Wizard's robes now.

Violet took the magic grocery bag and hoped nobody figured out how she'd be able to fit everything it in and it wouldn't appear to have anything inside it. She rolled her eyes a little at his comment before she headed outside and glanced around a little before heading towards town.

Lucian walking with Violet said "You know what we should get? A TV" he very much liked watching movies but the ghoul didn't own a TV

Violet blinked her eyes. "He'd get mad at me, plus how we going to fit a TY in here?" she asked him, showing the bag.

On the way into town they saw a black speck in the distance. Jinx. He had been hiding and living off wildlife in the area for a few days and he rarely talked.

"Well it could fit a small one, Crow never gets mad about anthi..." Lucian began but caught sight of the little cat "Jinx?" he asked recognizing the cat from the castle

Violet stopped and stared at the cat.

Jinx heard this and lifted his head from the ground. He then bounded towards them. It was him alright.

"Hi there" Lucian said as he bent down to pet jinx "What are you doing out here?"

Violet looked down at the cat, she didn't really know him.

Jinx purred slightly. "Hiding in plain sight." he said.

"In the woods? you can stay with us if you like" Lucian offered to the cat "Or come and go as you please"

Violet began to continue towards the town without them.

Jinx nodded. "Sure, I guess I could stay with you guys." he said.

"We live with crow in the crypt atop the mountain, but violet and I are going to get food" Lucian said as he walked after vi, he can't help but briefly glance at her... assets

Violet nodded at Lucian's words before they reached the town. She thought to supermarket would be the best place to go for food and refreshments.

Jinx smiled. "Oh, I could teleport us there if you want." he said.

Lucian shook his head as he followed vi "Someone could see us, then we couldn't go into town again without a greater risk"

Violet was starting to get annoyed. "We're in town, shut it." she told the cat.

Jinx silenced obediently.

"But anyway a TV" Lucian said with a smile "Crow would love one, i'll even carry it"

Violet glared towards him. "He doesn't need a TV, Lucian." she told him firmly.

Jinx watched this conversation with interest.

"I'd love one too" he said cheerfully "wouldn't it be fun to have a movie to watch occasionally?"

Violet sighed deeply. "Fine, after we get the food and refreshments, alright?" she said.

Jinx frowned, he doubted he'd be allowed in the store.

"Thanks Vi" Lucian said to her, he was cheerful as ever "So how have you been lately, we havent talked a lot"

Violet didn't answer that, she had already began her way towards the supermarket.

Jinx slowly padded after him.

Lucian decided to talk about something else "uh I hear you're good at martial arts"
