The samurai dude decapitates a knight with blinding speed

Time slowed, warmth spread, blood seeped through the wound at her chest. Breathing was difficult, every breath sending a cascade of the thick, metallic tasting blood to drip from her lips. Her knees buckled, and she landed hard, the impact jarring her bones, and her teeth crashed together. A bubble of almost maniac sounding laughter escaped her lips - Oh, what a way to go! - before she fell onto her front, her own blood forming a puddle on the ground around her and spread outwards.

Baldric manages to slip past the guard of the now wounded knight and takes off her hand at the wrist, then her head, with two violent blows. He nods thankfully at Kine as he glances around the now carnage ridden road.

Allyn curses as he sees Vaeri go down, "Shit!" Luckily the one that the easterner killed was the last of the knights alive besides Crane, who's still howling on the ground with a bolt through his knee. Glancing around he gestures to Farid, Baldric and Kine, "Check the bodies for anything useful. Hex, check and see if Vaeri's dead yet. Arnoth, help me with this ass." The last comment occurs as he approaches the wounded Crane

Farid chuckles and looks to the face down bleeding fey "Pretty sure she's dead yeah" He states raising a brow.

Allyn growls and shoves past Farid, obviously a little pissed one of his corporals died in their first skirmish, "Just do your job dammit." He crouches before Crane and waits for Arnoth

"Alright Good job team, you all get a cookie." Hex chuckled lightheartedly as he stepped over the fey he hadn't liked very much, and cast a spell on Crane to bind his arms, and legs "The thing about that i is.... Your horse seems to have come down with a bad case of dead."The horses got it the worst of the initial shock wave; all were unable to run, and crane's horse had its neck broken.

The easterner flicked the blood off his blade cooly before sheathing it.

Kine gave baldric a little salute

The dwarf just cleaned his Axe

Baldric looks sadly at the horses, all crippled, and pulls out his dagger, moving to put them out of their misery

Allyn pulls out a particularly long and vicious looking dagger, rolling it between his fingers for a moment before he begins cutting off Crane's left boot. The man looks confused through the pain as Allyn speaks almost casually, "So Lord Crane, tell us what your king's doing up near Blackwood, what kind of guards and numbers he's got, and why the fey queen is there." Despite being bound the man manages to spit defiantly in Allyn's face, only for the seargent to chuckle darkly, "Oh you're losing some toes for that one."
(By the way I thought Arnoth was the dwarf?)

Farid smirks at the conversation and goes to loot some bodies as he was ordered.

(arnoth is, but hex said the last, "The thing about that it..." to crane, then blasted him)

Crane looks helplessely to Hex as Allyn gets his boot off and begins poking gently at toes with his knife, the sergeant humming a merry tune as he does so. "Help me! I'm a Lord! My family will pay handsomely to ransom me!"

Baldric swiftly kills the horses and begins to join Farid in looting the bodies, pausing to whisper to Kine, "Thank you."

Smoke carefully joins in helping search the bodies, though more seeking information than loot or trophies

"Now hold on boss , there may be a way we can send him back that would be mutually beneficial." Hexor's mouth twisted  into a smile "You see i'm quite skilled in the art of memory alteration who's to say we didn't show up at the last second, and save him from enemy soldiers who killed his company? surely such bravery would gain us an audience with the king himself, and we get an opportunity to carry out the mission, while crane gets to not die."

Kine shot him a smile "No problem" she said clapping him on the back

Baldric quickly finds and dons Crane's wolf helmet, which seems an odd mixture of fearsome and ridiculous on the big man in his leathers

Allyn pauses his knife at one of Crane's toes, the blade barely knicking. As Crane bobs his head enthusiastically the sergeant ponders, "Could still use some information, say he got wounded in the fight." His blade begins to press and Crane whimpers, "besides, memory alteration can be undone"

Farid cocks a brow at Baldric's fashion choice " I don't know whether to laugh or be intimidated, I'll go with laugh " He states as he chuckles.

"Not if it's done with high magic." Hexor said calmly as he waited for the sergeant's answer

Allyn calmly considers the proposal, not removing the knife, "fine. You can do that once I'm finished, unless you have some magical way of telling his secrets?"

Baldric ignores Farid and glances at Kine, silently asking her opinion

Smoke comes up with a small scroll from one of the knight's saddlebags, and settles down to read it

"Yes, I do, I'm going to make him live out his worst fears til he tells us... the best part is we don't  need to explain how he lost toes in combat, wearing plate boots." Hex said motioning for the sergeant to step aside.

Kine, looked around for natalia

(You are going too fast!)

Natalia was just standing there rather awkwardly, not sure what to do after witnessing all the death. She made her way towards Kine. "What a waste," She murmured, glancing around at the bodies. Although it was the easiest option, to kill them before they killed the group, she still thought there could have been something else to be done. Not that there was any point now in crying over spilt milk.

Ses felt a bit left out from all this, but guess it goes for now. He waited to hear about what the others had discovered and what they would do next.

Allyn sighs and steps away from Crane, still glaring at the man

Crane babbles a thank you to Hex

"Oh don't than me yet!" hex chuckled, and grinned savagely "I can bring your worst nightmares to life, and tear your fragile little mind to shreds if you don't answer his questions."

Crane stares at Hex in shock then spits at his feet too, suddenly finding his spine, "Do your worst."

Hexor laughs and the knight begins to hallucinate Hex becoming a swarm of rats, and swarming his body biting, and gnawing, tearing flesh from his bones, he feels it all

Strangely the magic is difficult to work on the Lord. And though he's writhing in pain it's not the burning agony Hex expects.

Allyn leans forward, confused
