Aky groaned looking at the building in front of her, it was a solid block of concrete and bricks that looked like it didn't recieve funds since the Reagan administration. She begrudginly walked towards its open gates that like maws swallowed both students and their dreams. She always disliked class, but now knowing she had to attend to study some bullshit she would never use while being a half dragon that fought monsters made it even worse. But she did enter, headphones in her ears blasting music, she would just be another kid of the bunch. She aimed to be a silent one, to not call the attention of anyone.

As she entered the drab building that had all of twenty rooms total she recieved two texts in quick succession one was from her best friend Kendra, which just said "First day am I right? how's yours going?" attached was a picture of her university, a grand and pristine Ivy league building; Kendra wasn't the type to rub things in like that she could be a bit thoughtless when she was excited. The second was from the necromancer Torin, likely her only friend in town thus far; it read "Hey I told Specter to watch your back, you know how dangerous the things out there are; so don't freak out if you notice a ghost dog following you." He just didn't want one of his two friends in town to get killed on her way home from school at the hands of some kind of Cryptid.

Sky groaned as she looked at how awesome that place looked, but she wasn't offended by it, she already knew her best friend only ment well. She quickly messaged her with a smile in her face. "Pfff, can't compete with mine. Ugly ass walls of concrete and bricks, only 20 classrooms and besides abandoned slums. Suck it" She texted her jokingly before answering back to Torin "Oh, cool, I will save some food for them then, thanks. Take care and kick the mutt in the arse so she does something of profit"

When Kendra replied it was a concerned one "... Are you sure that's the place you want to be? It sounds like a dump. Are you alright?" At some point she was going to have to explain her choice to move and go to school here, but for now she could likely retreat to class if she wanted.

"Yeh Yeh! Im joking, mostly. It's actually on the nicest parts of town, dont worry." Sky sent a smiling face and walked to the class, dropping her stuff in the closest table to the door and sat down, still rady to keep texting "It's sports are not thaat bad, and there is a small krav maga school near" She lied to put her at ease.

"Good don't get rusty on me. Take care, I've got to get to class." Kendra was always one to take her classes a bit more seriously. As she took a seat in the classroom, it wasn't long before her classmates started filing in, a mix of screw ups fresh out of highschool who couldn't get into a real college, and older people working dead end jobs finally fed up and trying to start an education. Everyone's mood seemed to either be quiet and unsociable, or completely disinterested with the situation.

Sky made a bored sigh, thinking why the hell had she to be so responsable and attend to class without distractions "Aye, cya!" She placed the phone on the table and yawned in boredom, looking around the class out of curiosity, trying to find anything interesting.

It probably had something to do with why she was in an Ivy League school and Sky was in BFE state university. Eventually the teacher entered; a pale and portly man with hungry eyes, and stained yellow teeth; presumably her english teacher came in and took his place at the front of the classroom. Soon he introduced himself to the class as "Dr John Ryan, a healthy classroom experience begins with a healthy introduction, so let's go around the room and you can all tell us something interesting about yourself, your name, and your job..." At that he picked someone to start, and her classmates began rattling off diverse yet equally mundane answers until it got to her.

Doctor Ryan dragged his tongue across his teeth and continued without addressing any of their answers, he turned on a projector that looked about twenty years old and began giving a presentation. Dryly talking about sentence structure and basic punctuation; which she likely already knew in the most dull tone sky could imagine, that suggested he was no more interested in the subject than the class.

Torin's response came a few minutes later. "Well I'm on the job, but I can talk more or less. I'm road cleanup in Ghost town and on the highway leading out of it by the way. Anyway there's a lot of mutilated dogs out here today, something must have gotten real hungry last night. Banshee's with me, and she's a bit uneasy too. Can't shake the feeling something's watching us."

"I'll be fine, wouldn't want to give you an easy way out lol." Torin replied with a joke the approximate time it took to clean a dog off the road later. while the class seemed to drag on forever it did eventually end, with her history class being next on her agenda.

Sky groaned, her diplomacy roll having failed, and got up while placing the headphones back in her head and listening to music as she walked to the next clasroom. When she arrived she sat besides the window and sat down, hoping for a better teacher this time

People began to come in as late as before, the class was almost identical to the last one. Finally the Professor entered about two minutes late; a fat man with hungry eyes, and pale skin. He looked Identical to the last one, but introduced himself as "Doctor Steven Richards, a healthy classroom experience begins with a healthy introduction, so let's go around the room and you can all tell us something interesting about yourself, your name, and your job..."

Most of the class that had been in her last class did in fact look confused, one shrugged at her, a couple looked nervous. The class period for the most part seemed to be going much like the last, but with the start of human history instead of sentence structure. The professor seemed just as bored, as did the class aside from their confusion.

Sky would frown and grab the phone "There is something wrong. The teacher is the same, but he presented himself as another guy, he is also all fat, yellow eyes and with a hungry look in the eyes. Could he be a student eating monster??" She asked torin, if that guy was in fact a monster she was the only one who could actually stop him!!

Torin's response came near the end of the class, apparently he'd been busy with something; it wasn't all that helpful anyway, this wasn't his forte. "Well how should I know? I guess anything is possible, I'm no expert on student eating monsters, but I think if he just ate entire classrooms during class someone would have shut the place down by now. Still watch your back and be careful." As she read the message the man dismissed class.

Sky warily got up and went to the next, looking at the door, waiting for the teacher to enter, a big frown in her face, if it was again the same guy she would call the bullshit.

As she walked out of her class she saw someone in the hallway. A pale fat man with hungry eyes who looked identical to her teacher watching the students exit while scraping his tongue over his upper row of teeth.
